Help identifying an aura...

I did find the curses effects page but this particular aura wasn't there. Every time I run into a pack with it, my merc dies unless I'm very quick to back out and break up the pack. It's around their feet on the ground similar to Conviction only it's red and orange.

And apparently dangerous! (Yes, I've been playing this game a long time and still don't know what it is.)

I think what you are refering to fanaticism, and yes, it is dangerous. It increases damage and attack speed. In combination with a curse, it is one of the worst things to encounter.

Sounds like fanaticism to me. Dangerous, orange/red, looks a bit like concentration.

Did it look like that?

Ah yes, that was it! No wonder I needed to break up the packs. Thanks for the link.
