Fri (Don't rain on my parade) daily

Happy Friday SPFers!

RL: Hmmm.....let's take a guess....work??? Yep, that's right. 8 more hours until 2 days of freedom. Weekend is looking like it might turn out nice with the weather. Which is nice as I haven't rode my motorcycle in close to 2 weeks. :shocked:

D2: Went ahead and finished act II with my trapsin yesterday. She hit lvl 26 and has LS up to level 4 (3 from hard pts and +1 from tarn helm). I think that may be the highest I've hit finishing act II. I'm usually at 24-25. Will hopefully blow through act III tonight. I foresee the many flayers being a royal pain but hopefully I get a good map and don't get lost as I usually do.

So, post away peeps. Don't be shy. And most importantly, have a good Friday everyone! :wave:

D2: no time, nor lust to play for two weeks by now. Wondering how long that lasts... :fortuneteller:
 
Today i was suspended with pay. hooray.
tomorrow I am liable to be sacked.
lots of days off hooray.
 
The worst thing is it wasnt even my fault

Someone else got busted doing something they shouldnt of done that basically amounts to stealing. they said i did it. so now im the one under inspection. have to go in tomorrow and wtf pwn them all.

Sorry to hear that Corax.....I hope the real person at fault gets the boot and not you. Well anyways I'm off to my third day at work and then I too am free for the weekend. I leave tonight for Green Bay and tomorrow I run a race. After that I get to stay at a friend's cottage for the weekend. Weather should be nice and cool.

D2: STILL haven't gotten to play in about 2 weeks, I miss my little old sorceress. Well maybe on Monday night I will have a chance to get her out of Act II/III...don't remember where she is even.

Hope you all have a good weekend I won't be able to see ya for a couple days. :cry: :wave:

Ah..its been a while...
RL: One exam down, two to go. The last being on 18th. Other than that, just lazing around and waiting for the Germany game to start in 3 hours time.

D2: IK Barb now lvl 83 and questing in Hell Act5, and you wouldn't believe what HF dropped me!!!! You wanna know????!!!??? Its a UBER SUPER DOOPER HEL rune!!!!!!!!!!!!!Damn Pucho's bad luck really rubbed on me....You owe me a HF Pucho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I haven't posted in a daily thread for well over a year, but this is something of note, so I figure I might as well :)

Today I graduate from High School! 12 years of my life have gone into today, into getting a little sheet of paper with my name "Bradley Adam Turner" written on it, YAY! I don't really know how I feel about it yet, I don't think that it has quite hit me full on yet, that I'll never have another day of High School ever, and that I won't be going to school again for at least 4 years (I'm going into the Army straight out of high school to help pay for college, and since I plan on going into law-enforcement/politics, and the military will help with both). I'm kinda curious how all of you guys and gals felt when you graduated, 'cause with me and all my friends it just doesn't seem like a big deal at all to any of us, we're all kinda like "meh, whatever..." right now, and I'm kind of weirded out about it, I mean, this is supposed to be one of the biggest days of your life, and we just don't care, is that normal?

Anyways, I'm gonna stop my rambling, and talk to you all later, Peace Out!

Apathy is more than normal... everyone has some of it. Graduations and such are more for your parents and family than they are for the students. They're the ones who need a cerimony, not you. You know you did it, and you know what you got from it. They have to see it happen, so there's a cerimony. Go through it for them.

Good luck in college, or what ever you choose to do next. Best advice anyone could give you at this point is "stay out of debt". Shortly after that comes "have fun with your life...you only get one".
 
Shag, I have to agree. I turned in my Senior Thesis yesterday and finished my college career, but I won't be going through the ceremonies. But I am heading to my fiance's departmental graduation thing today, since she's getting an award for havingone of the top papers.

RL: Was told yesteday that I have to get my travelling shoes on again. This sucks. For those of you not in the know, business travel is not, in the end, glorious, or fun-filled, or any of those other descriptors...it is just work. 20 hours a day usually, since when you are done with your business you have to go back to your hotel room with some take-out dinner and work doing what you should have done during the day had you been in the office. Top it off with being away from home, it's just brutal :sad2:

D2: Ever have one of those days where the stars and moon aligned, and the uniques were dropping as if they were Healing Potions on players8? I had that going last night. I was giddy with my finds. Even had a smile on my face. Then a Marauder appears out of nowhere at the same time my skellies killed a cold enchanted boss. The hit came at the same time as the Frost Nova, and I have 14% cold resist. Nothing like fouling up a good thing. I don't know how the HC guys do it, I really don't.
 
RL: Golf! I played a par three course last night after work, and shot a 7 over par 34...good for me anyways.

D2: none, I has busy smaking a little white ball around. I hope to get a fair amount in this weekend though. My necro is at 41 and my new sorc is 3.

@chumley669: hc adds spice to an already tasty game :thumbsup:
 
RL: Took my first Stats test yesterday. Huge freakin' pack of papers...and only 3 pages of test! Everything else was a photocopy of the foldout in our book (Z-scores, evil chi square stuff, formula tables). Scared me for a second, since I was the only one there (tests are done at school, class is online). Easy A, but somewhat disturbing was the fact I was the second person to take the test. 30 people in the class and the last day to take it was today and only by appointment... and that ended about an hour ago. Think it means there's a non-insignificant probability of a sharp learning curve ahead?

D2: Thinking about making a Barbarian. I'd love to make an IK barb, but the only thing from the set is a maul. Peh. On my L65 BlizzSorc, just rerolled my NM map and came up with this. Too bad the Durance map sucks. Ran Baal til 70, finished my Hwain's set. Fishymancer sitting at 45 after just beating Normal on p8, Freezeadin sitting around at 50-something in NM A4, but I finally managed to find a 3os pally shield with more than 30 base resists and made an Ancient's Pledge to make his resists not suck. Now back to reading Fark and waiting for more graduation stories gone horribly horribly wrong to pop up there. And lunch!

Eh? I thought a normal 9 hole course is par 36. Whats your handicap erics?

My handicap is not realizing I stink at golf :smiley:

A par three course's holes are all par 3 so a total of 27. It's a good place to practice your irons, and a good place for beginners to learn. I played a par 72 course over the weekend (shot 99). The par 3 course is also a lot cheaper to the monitarily challenged like me, $6 after 5 pm.
 
RL: Turned in a 16 page paper this morning. Very glad it is done with. I feel relieved. Now I need to study for a final on monday.

D2: During study breaks.
 
RL: Well I worked all day today, it rained, was windy and miserable all day, and I was working outside building a deck. It was good fun... Of course, we get payed on fridays so that makes up for the rain I suppose! I'm looking forward to the weekend now! If only I had some beer.

D2: I started working on a Daggermancer the other day and I'm quite excited about him, I'm planning on working on him for most of the night. He's currently level 43 and just starting NM. Also, my windy druid is level 57 and just getting into act 3 NM. I loath the beginning of act 3, so I probably wont play him for a bit.
