Eth Ribcracker

Actually, the best two-hander would be an ethereal 3 socketed tomb reaver, but good luck finding one. Not sure where the best place is to find an eth ribcracker, but I'd try meph.

I disagree :> Just jook @ the stats on it and then think of upgrading it to elite. I mean it's elite form (not ethereal) has base damage of 107. Now imagine ethereal with 300% ed.

Key thing to remember

SPEED

2H eth elite that hits the fastest breakpoints... Def wins.

Tomb reaver gets over 300% ed as well , I beleive... add in res, MF, and other mods...

An eth tomb reaver can have around 1000 dmg on the weapon itself and can swing at a 6/4 fury. Both are very nice weapons though... I would just pick the tomb reaver. Speed=KING :D

even with a shael in ribcracker, it is slow. I have Uped reg shael Ribcracker and an *** load of BotDs with BotD GP or Archon staff out pulling anything.

IAS jewels + highlords won't change the attack speed.
You asked, people answered, and you keep disagreeing.

Tomb Reaver is a higher base damage weapon with a possible 280%ed. It has 60% IAS, 30-50 res all I believe (more important than defense for a wolf), 60-80% MF and can have up to 3 sockets. These 3 sockets are essential to reaching that last breakpoint. Zod in one socket, 2 ed/ias jewels in the other sockets will mean you get a 7/4 fury AND more than 300%ED depending on the quality of the jewels.

The only mods on the ribcracker that make it come close to a Tomb Reaver is the 50% FHR and 50% Crushing Blow. Although if you aren't PvMing, then the crushing blow is much less useful.

An eth zod ribcracker is a great weapon, but you asked what would be the best. And an eth zod ed/ias ed/ias Tomb Reaver is unrivaled.

Like aznbboi16 said, OIAS won't make a difference unless you're using a really slow 2-hander.

A wolf has no skills to boost defense, so defense doesn't really matter much.

5fpa isn't unbearably slow, but most LOVE 4fpa attacks.

Like I said before an eth ribcracker would do you well, but most here still believe the tomb reaver is the BEST.

I now own an Eth Zod Shael Shael Tomb Reaver for my nonlad fury wolf. Set me back quite a bit, but I am most please with it. I tore up in 6~8 Players still.

these pics may help you decide:
http://www.geocities.com/kazamafurydii/d2items/reaver.txt (its shael shael zod'ed now)
http://www.geocities.com/kazamafurydii/d2items/rib.txt (didnt bother to zod it yet)
if you're on nl east, i have a 2nd eth 3 skt reaver and upped eth rib for trade if you're interested. they both have lower ed though.

reaver getting 1k damage? i dont know about that, i guess it may with 7/4fpa fury (2 x ed/ias zod).
personally, i would go for the 7/4fpa reaver if it was for pvm.

edit: i found my eth rib at shenk. (both of them iirc)
as for the reavers, i traded for them.

the staff has a higher avg damage by 80, and the chance for crushing blow easily pushes it near the kill speed of the poleaxe, but in the end,i believe the poleaxe wins because of the mf and the resists, but damage wise the staff is much greater, killspeed wise, about the same

the staff gets a 9/6, the poleaxe gets a 6/4(when properly fixed)

so 33 frames per fury on the staff, 22 frames per fury on the pole axe

thus its 87 damage per frame for the staff, and 113 damage per frame with the axe(this is just the weapon itself damage wise, ignoring other modifiers)...the crushing blow gets to be a pain in the ***...but it definately brings the killing speed up at least 25-30 avg damage per frame, so in the end the damage per frame is comprable between the 2
