eth phase blades

well, i want one, mainly for novelty factor, but they seem to be rather troublesome to get.

i have picked up a good 30 rare crystal swords and dimensional blades, not one of them eth.
i also picked up a few ginther's rifts. those weren't eth either.

do rare eth crystal sowrds/dimensional blades even spawn?
do eth ginther's rifts spawn?

Only Rare / uniqs can be upgraded.

Yea. There's about no chance it would be better ingame than grief, but they're hella stylish.

Depending on the build, a fury werewolf will definitely fork out anything to everything for it.

Not enough ias, I'd say, and the enhanced damage simply won't cut it. This would have approximately 100 average damage. Compared to Grief which ends up with 400+deadly strike, at a faster speed. If it had ias and more enhanced damage, then you'd have knowledgable wolves falling all over themselves to get it.

What's the deal with phase and dimensional blades? Why does lots of people want them? I mean, they might have a good base speed or whatever, which would perhaps make it good to socet them, but I can't emagine rare and magical ones being any useful. Help me out here

Eth rare dimensional blades can spawn with downright godly mods. When upgraded to phase blade, they'll continue to have their ethereal bonus but will receive the indestructable quality of a phase blade. That's why.

I usually imbue ethereal dimensional blades at Charsi, hoping for the best. Until then, I've had no luck with her, though ...

IMHO eth rare crystal sword with uber mods was worth anything before 1.10 2nd wave of runewords. Even 450% ED eth phase blade can't beat Grief phase blade.

aha well then... more a collectors item than functional.
for real worth it is nice to have 2 sockets and high ias

Only useful in normal mode IMO. None of the mods will matter in hell. I've seen some dude get a eth crystal with +max damage/lvl and +AR/lvl mods, 2 sockets, good ED, and some IAS. Then he upp'd it to a phase blade, ohm's in it and it was a stylish zealot weapon.
