Question Does D2R allow you to play D2 LOD v1.07 ??

A silly question - I have played D2 LOD v1.07 single player for years.

Does D2R allow play of D2 LOD v1.07 with superior graphics or is the game automatically upgraded to v1.14+ ??

Any insight greatly appreciated.

The two installs are separate; installing D2R doesn't affect the LoD install.

In addition to what @snickersnack said, you can't play 1.07 with enhanced D2R graphics. D2R is even beyond 1.14 in the meantime, with additional runewords for example you can't craft in any D2 legacy patch. You also have to upgrade D2R every 30 days to its latest patch, so now way so far to play older versions of D2R either.

In short: D2R right now is not compatible with any previous D2 legacy patches, but a separate game with separate patches.

You can stick to 1.07 and just transfer the items to D2R though!
