Diablo 4 is actually a very good game. Bosses are reasonbly challenging, fun to discuss about. Even PVP seems good for Diablo standards. I think it has the vibes of Albion Online (One of the top pvp mmorpg). And of course the story line, map, dungeons, all are fine. It is potentially one of the great game out there now.

But why why the social aspect is so bad? I understand that technically Diablo 4 is not exactly a full fletch mmorpg, rather it is like a arpg mmo lite. But why dont Blizzard just improve on it? Is it that difficult or whats stopping them.

There is nobody chatting in open world? It is so difficult to get into a random party? i virtually played level 1 to 50 now, all by myself. This is so sad for an online game.

And when i thought i finally joined a guild . it had like 15 ppl, where nobody talks or do anything as a team lol.

So i completed all the game now, killing lillth. I have no motivation to continue further...the open world is so quiet. Or is there something i am missing?

Please share your thoughts.

To be fair this has always been a problem with a lot of Blizzard games, the social aspect while actually in-game. It's not easy to explain why this is but it's always lead to people using outside sources for communication. The game simply doesn't lend itself that well to socialising in-game and clan options are pretty limited. A clan chat window in the clan screen would be a helpful addition instead of having to use the main chat window which is what you are supposed to use.

As for clan chatting itself, well it can be hit and miss depending on what clan members are actually doing at any point in time. So far PureDiablo clan members have been pretty decent at helping each other out which has really helped on the socialising aspect while in-game.

A lot really depends on who you are hooked up with really in-game.

With other people I meet in game I drop a quick "Hello" when I feel like it, which can quickly lead to some group play for events or other things.
I have made some bnet friends that way. Otherwise its often limited to helping each other out without grouping ending with "Thanks", "Bye".

Like @Rush said you should look for some community outside the game, like on the purediablo discord or other discord servers.
Those might then even have a clan or you get a longer list of bnet friends :)

It would be cool to have a “looking to party” status that others could see.

When fighting a mob, it’s always fun to see someone jump off their horse and fight them too. But then they trample off somewhere else. Never to be seen again.
