Diablo 2 revisited

I am playing diablo 2 revisited but its slow and choppy with frequent pauses. It makes the final boss fight in act 1 impossible. My PC is about 3 years old but i can play other online games like Lord of the rings online with no problems. Does anybody have any ideas on the problem and or a solution to my problems with the act 5 boss.

Try turning down graphics
Each option in graphics states how much impact it has on frame rate
Especially shadow Projection has bit influence

turn everything at lowest, see if it’s playable , then increase 1 by 1

fyi, I run newest 3060 graphic card, 16gb ram, ryzen 7, max settings and some areas frame rate goes down to 30

its a demanding game
