Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction Let's Play / Barbarian Spear & Polearm Build

Hello everyone, I've stumbled across your forum after thinking for a while that I should try hunting down some new places in search of people with similar tastes in gaming as myself. I know there is a lot of stuff going on not only in the world of Diablo but in life itself, but I'd be more than happy to see a few of you randomly take a peak at my videos as I've been trying to find and get people re-interested in Diablo 2 / Diablo 1 as a whole. I grew up playing both of them (Diablo 1 then Diablo 2 then LoD) but when Diablo 3 came out - I felt cheated and abused (like with most newer games). So I thought I'd run through Diablo 1 and record it - but Fraps refuses to record Diablo 1 for me so I simply skipped ahead to 2 LoD. I'm up to Episode 13 (which I am uploading now) and I've gone through Act 1 and I'm in the middle / towards the end of Act 2. I hope to see people not only view my videos BUT to contribute ideas, and to spread them around to their friends (if you actually like / favourite them) so we can get Diablo 2 more exposure to the new and old gamers whom simply haven't tried this beautiful game. There may be some flaws in Diablo 2 (especially after the patches to reduce Necro summon numbers and what not) but its still a far superior game to Diablo 3 - and something people of all generations should play and appreciate.

A little about my Lets Play however - I don't play it the way most kids do now a days. I'm an adult, and I play this game with a sense of uniqueness and originality with zero filter. I set goals for myself and I try to achieve them for you and for the sake of showing you the content while reliving my past. I don't skip over dungeons, I don't "run through" the game, I don't miss a Way Point - I get everything and do everything while playing my own unique build and the game the way I think it should be played. I may stop and back-track to help a person whose just started and wants to stay in the adventure with me, or I may just find random comrades along the way. Either way I can promise that my journey is fun and unique - with a bunch of random crap in between.

Now why would I go to the single player forum when this is a USEast play and a Ladder character? Random people, random maps, random everything, no cheating, a Lets Play online that is slow and painful at times but fast and accurate at others. People play the Single Player too yeah but the real meat of the game is the multiplayer fun - and that's exactly where I took it too. That way people who can't cheat jump in and really strive for a goal - get to the finale while having tons of fun with mature and immature humor.

[Edit] - Oh and thanks for the love, not the hate. I'm glad someone seems happy with what I'm up to - and don't take anything I said bad friend!

Oh and if anyone would like to join me in my Lets Play - now would be the time. Going through Act 3 is a real pain in the *** and I now remember why my childhood was full of cursing and damning. Mostly the maze like terrain throws me off - and since I haven't ran through Act 3 entirely since the beginning of Diablo 2 (not the expansion) it really is putting a hurting on me. Anyway if you would like to join in I do have some things you gotta understand.

- I'm not looking for "runners". I want to show the players how the true gamers went through the game back in the day before all this "bot run" bull**** came out. I want to give them exactly the same experience I had when I was a kid playing through this game myself.

- I'm aiming to find each Way Point. I don't want someone to jump in my games and go ""HERES A TP TO THIS WAYPOINT"" no - I don't do that. I'm running the game the way it was played back in the golden age man.

- I want people who are genuine, nice, friendly, not just putting on a mask. I will know whose faking **** and who isn't, and whose preparing to dump a load of advertisements or whose going to say something since ""ITS GOING ON THE INTERNET LUL"". Not only will you look bad in your own eyes, but the rest of the world will see your real side so just be yourself - and if you aren't a nice person honestly then don't join.


Anyway, I have up to 19 videos so far - hope everyone is enjoying them.

I've entered Nightmare with my Lets Play Concentrate Polearm Barbarian - got some nice goodies too. I could and would LOVE a dedicated Summoner Druid / Fire Sorceress as back ups who would go with me as I venture through to Hell and beyond. I've never done an Uber run either so after I complete Hell that'll be exactly what I try to do next on my LP before I call D2 quits for a while.
