Cyclone armor and Energy Shield

Hi,

I am using a sorceress and I was asking myself if I can put cyclone armor on (with infinity's charges) while I have Energy Shield. Can I have both at the same time ?

Please answer clearly and thx a lot for your help.

It Works

Finally I tested myself, because I was just to exited to have the possibility of having my own infinity !

IT WORKS. I'm very happy. I'm so happy I did all my cyclone armor charges. It costs 35 000 gold to repair all those charges. I was still very exited: I did 10 hydras (with my torch's charges). That made me calm down when I had to repair my torch: it cost 432 111 gold

Hehe, I can sort of see how Cyclone Armor might be a little bit useful, but the Hydras can't kill much. >.<

why waste money on repairing infinity? juss get the runeword "Rain" it has a chance to cast lvl 15 cyclone armor when struck, which i believe is a bout 450... and w/ energy shield its not like ur gonna get dmg'd trying to pre-charge it...

Cyclone armor damage absorbs:

Infinity charges: lvl21 = 280 damage
Rain chances: lvl15 = 208 damage

So, I'd go with the infinity, you can choose when you can cast it, and you can absorb more damage.

Also, you can only absorb elemental damage, so I'd wear "Bone" as well then to absorb some physical damage (110 damage)

This is not a recommendation, as most damage dealt will be a lot more than 100-200 (if PVP) and the rest will a lot less (if PVM)
(considering a big ES that triggers first)

I think you are right about bone armor, but maybe I will test when I come back with all my ladder items in non-ladder, where I am a lot better.

so my question is does ES really trigger before the cyclone/bone armor/whatever? because if it does, that would be pretty great.

no, i believe the order is bone/ cyclone (because they arent ur skills) then the one that is actually attached to you.. ES but i might be wrong, idk...

(another why this is- bone and cyclone spin around you and they pretty id attack them first if i was a monster too, then id maul that big yellow ball floating over ur head)

When I use cyclone armor on my infinityusing novasorc the armor always goes before the es is dmged. Only usage I have of it is when someone is townguarding, sorbs 1 hit and then I can kill them

yeah, if the cyclone/bone goes first then it's not worth much at all

Iirc, then it absorbs 280 damage, and the rest is still dealt to you :scratch:

Thx for the info man, you are nice ! Still, 280 can be useful, even if you pay a high price for it (1 charge).
