CS-Runner: need a guide!

I have an idea that Barbarian should be the FASTEST Chaos Sanctuary runner.
The stragety: Ingore anything on path, just teleport (or leap for knockback) to a seal, open the seal, kill the mini-boss (Howl/Warcry + Berserk may be preferable, ingore minions if possible), then repeat until all 3 mini-bosses are done, then kill Diablo.
Is it doable? Need advice! Thanks.
 
Using a shield and having max block would help. I guess if you used berserk and had a lot of cb then you could quite effectively solo chaos, kill diablo and get to throne for wave 4.
 
I saw a barb doing this once, he was teleing faster then my hammer (125) so he probably had the 105 bp, he howled all the minions (howl had an all screen radius) and zerked the bosses, so it is doable. I don't know about his gear though.
 
I would go with something like this:

Grief ba 40 ias
Arreats with 15ias/ed jool
Eni
goblin toe
wizzy gloves
arac
highlord or cat's eye
storm eld
2 ravens

You hit the 67fcr bp and 48 fhr one as well if you have 4 fhr scs use cat's eye if you don't wanna invest in dex, you hit the 75%ias berserk breakpoint but only 25 cb. Then again cb is over-rated in an 8 player game.

Edit: hoto+cta on switch to hit 105 fcr tele and +7 bo.
 
For some people wiz gloves aren't an option, since they want to play legit or are on ladder.. I would use this setup:

+2 Barb/+3 Warcries, 20 FCR Circlet > Um | Jah | ED/IAS
Highlord | Mara | +2 Barb/+3 Warcries, 10 FCR Amu
Grief BA (ias doesnt matter, it will always get 12 frame zerk, next bp requires 50 ias total, the one after that 75 total)
Enigma
Spirit
Trang Gloves | Laying of Hands
FCR Ring with All Res | Raven Frost
Arachnid Mesh
FCR Ring with All Res | Raven Frost
Goblin Toe

With the minions howled, blocking shouldn't be an issue. Setup gives 105 FCR, 55 FHR, 12-10 Frame Zerk, 25 CB

Tele, Open Seal, Leap onto special, Howl, Zerk, Next

Get Howl to do full screen with items and get leap to a lvl you feel comfortable with (depends on how close you tele to the special)

you get no xp from the minnions when you just open the seals.

Not sure why you would want this build.
 
I'm going to be doing it very soon with my 1/2 built bvc, his lvl 92 atm but I'm aiming for 95, doing another 3 levels in baals will take ages. It's best to quickly kill diablo who is lvl 95 i be leave and then get to throne for wave 4.

To prove that Barbarians are the FASTEST Chaos Sanctuary runner! :wink3:
Only they have enough HP to survive such runs, plus they cast fast.
Even a lightning sorceress cannot do this.



 
well, in my oppenion its not really a chaos runner when you just open the seals. You dont get any exp that way. And diablo is not the best place to go MF.

Allso, many chars can do it just as fast.
When i rush some one i use my Bone Necro, i tele to the seals and open
either name lock the mini boss with spirit or just pierce them all with spear

Think this will be faster than any barb.
 
Are you an idiot? at lvl 95+ monsters in chaos give no experience at all, only diablo does.

Edit: Just for your information lvl 85 is not high as you might think.

How ignorant can you be? Might wanna look that info up.

For your info, the Necromancer i am talking about is lvl 97,
my Fury wolf is 96 and ep bow ama is 96 to.

Why do you even need a guide if you know all?
 
Three of my friends made Barbs like this on Hardcore. It went a little something like this...

Arreat's
Highlord's
'Grief' PB (this isn't PvP, nor is it a WW Barb... no need for BA when PB is so much faster and has no repair cost)
Stormshield
Wizzy/'Spirit' on switch
'Enigma'
Laying of Hands or Bloodfist or maybe some nice Blood crafted gloves
Arach
Gore Riders
Raven/Dwarf or whatever

I assume the idea was to get Diablo exp and get back to the Baal run as quickly as possible.
 
I can see why it would be useful to do this, just dont see why you would build a charecter who specialised in doing so.

He would be pretty unuseful for anything else, like killing slow in baal runs, bad in pvp and so on.... he might run for keys fast though, but not any faster than so many other builds.

It's a pain to level barbarians because they just suck at killing monsters in comparison to a hammer or a light sorc. You get bonus experience for making the kills therefore levelling faster but a barb never gets any of them. Soloing chaos is not an option either because it would take too long to berserk everyone therefore you wanna get to diablo as soon as possible to take his experience.
