Could these 2 items exist?

I sometimes have a hard time figuring out if an item can exist (even with the magic prefix and suffix list). So do you guys know if these items can exist?


1.) +3 assassin shadow disciplines +3 claw block, +3 to dtalon, 2 (or 3) open sockets Runic Talon?

2.) Cruel, 40 ias 3 open sockets runic talon


Also, can someone explain the premods on the claws and which can spawn and which cannot spawn together (I am always a little shaky on these).

1.) Cannot exist. +3 skill tab is magic-only, and you already have a prefix taken by "Mechanic's". Although you can luck out and get 2 sockets at Larzuk (50/50). I am not sure if claw block can spawn on claws, but if it does, everything (except the sockets) is possible on a magic item.

2.) Cruel of Quickness, and 2 sockets at Larzuk. Alternatively, a rare with Cruel and of Quickness and Mechanic's (2 sockets). Not possible for 3 sockets (Artisan's is Magic only).

1) 2 sockets yes (very, very rare), 3 sockets no. Bonuses to single skills depend on the ilvl and bonuses to low-level skills like dragon talon need a low ilvl while +3 to a skilltree needs an affix level of 60. That's quite far apart. The only way to create such a weapon is fixing a cracked scissors suwayyah or runic talon (the recipe sets the ilvl to 1 while the high base qlvl of these items raises the alvl beyond the alvl 60 req) and then rerolling it with the 3 pgem recipe. However, it will need a lot of tries to produce it (thousands, I guess). Rerolling them with 3 chipped gems will produce an ilvl 25 item which is too high to receive a bonus to a L1 skill. A runic talon or scissors suwayyah with an ilvl of 1 has a maximum of 2 sockets and as +3 to a skilltree is possible only on magical ones, it cannot get sockets from an affix, as both are prefixes, so the only way to add sockets is Larzuk who will add 1-2 to a magical item, randomly.

2) No. the maximum will be two sockets, either on a magical cruel claw of quickness with 2 sockets from Larzuk (who randonly adds 1-2 on magical items, as said above) or a rare one with the cruel, quickness and artisan's affix. The 3 socket affixes are available on magical claws only and Larzuk will add just one socket to rare items. Edit: Already answered, see above.

How do you turn a cracked katar into a magical item while retaining its ilvl?

Ehm, that's a good point So forget it - it looked wrong, but I didn't see the flaw.

So is it possible to have a +3 (to certain assassin skill), +3 to claw block, +3 to BOS? or nope?

Nope, don't think so. WB and BoS are both level 6 skills (If I remember correctly), while a +3 skilltab affix is alvl 60. Too big a gap. Such skills won't spawn on such a low claw.

But if you look for a claw with +3 WB +3 BoS and say +3 DTalon, then it MAY be possible.

No, as there is no way to produce a magical item with an ilvl of 24 or less (needed for dragon claw) and an affix level of 60 (needed for +3 to skilltree). It would work with rares and the 6 pskulls recipe, applied by a low-level character, but +3 to skilltree isn't possible on them.

Thank god helvete didn't notice my mistake first :azn:. Now I also know why my previous consideration looked wrong: We already had a similar discussion about wands a while ago.

No, as there is no way to produce a magical item with an ilvl of 24 or less (needed for dragon claw) and an affix level of 60 (needed for +3 to skilltree). It would work with rares and the 6 pskulls recipe, applied by a low-level character, but +3 to skilltree isn't possible on them.

Goto 1.07, buy/rack high qlvl claw, reroll once with 3pgem recipe ==> set the ilvl to 1. Feel free to bring it forward to 1.10+ where gems are more common.

And 1.07 cruel/quickness can get 3sox (even 4 for magic, but no claw can have 4) at larzuk, provided it is magic or crafted.

Of course, this is only possible SP.
