[confirmed] Diablo II - Ladder Reset October 25

We will be resetting the Diablo II ladder the morning of October 25.

We anticipate all Diablo II realms to be down for approximately six hours during the reset. More specific information on realm availability on the day of the reset will be posted in the Battle.net Status forum. When the ladder is reset all existing ladder characters will be converted to non-ladder. All characters and items being converted to non-ladder will remain intact, but once converted these characters will no longer have access to ladder content such as creating ladder-only rune words. How do you all feel about 6 month resets? are you going to keep playing on ladder? or are you going to play non ladder till D3 comes out?

I personally will be playing on the ladder come the reset..

Personally, i'd prefer even more frequent resets. 6 months is a long time.

I'm sure the item shops are over the moon, new income on the horizon.........

For the less hardcore among us, I would reiterate what I say every reset, activate ladder only content on non-ladder, keep us casual players interested. If you want to play reseted every 6 months good luck, if you want to plod along in your own time, let us continue at our own pace.

I will play non ladder and also will create some new character at ladder (maybe caster or some necro w/ skeletons).
Maybe i won't play D3 ,when is released.

I half agree. I think 6 months is along time, but 3 months wouldn't be enough imo. Plus the 6 month resets are way better then the 1 year resets of old.

Starting up on the new ladder, of course. There's never been anything interesting about playing on NL.

agreed, non-ladder is kinda boring... and easy...

im looking forward to D3.. *wonders how many delays there will be..*

I've been playing both d2:lod and d3 beta and I was saying the same thing a month ago, trust me, you will be playing d3 when I comes out lol

I really can't care less if D3 gets delayed (to an extent). Only the sheer thought of it actually existing makes me happy goose!

Im loving it

I just hope they keep the ladder running for a whole year. 6 months is way to short if you are not able to play 8 hours a day

I loved making a blizz sorc at the beginning of ladders.

If there's any consolation to the 6 month ladder, it's that D3 will probably be released within 6 months :thumbup:.

i dont think its out in six months, i thought i read summer of 2012... i could be wrong... i normally have a 4 year old pull on my arm to help her with her gaming needs

I agree. It's like pulling teeth trying to get certain rune words or items on nl. And, because I generally play seasonally, I always feel like the reset is too short.

I'll probably start playing ladder, as usual. I'd like to test out the monk first.

That's what I heard (early 2012). It doesn't matter much to me since I probably won't be able to build a new desktop in the next 6 months. (My current one is cobbled together from spare parts.)
