Cheap smiter build - Hit me with your knowledge!

Hey! I have no luck with my sorc, and am tired of grinding. So I'm going to go make meself a smiter to do some ubers!

My equipment this far:

Guilly / (Good Gaze)
Metalgrid
Raven / dwarfstar
Verdungos / Tgods
HoZ
Guardian angel

My questions are what items should I get to fill out / upgrade my current set-up? As you may notice I still do not have a weapon, since my economy is pretty crappy (got 1-2 ists that i can spare on this), I am contemplating weapon options. I know grief is the best, but its out of my price range.

The basic thought is: spend runes on a weapon (on which?) and/or get better gloves than venomgrip and/or goreriders?

Black flail is essentially free, and works fine. Spend your runes to get gores and dracul's. If you still have runes left after you have gores and dracul's you can get The Redeemer or Astreon's Iron Ward. Asteron's is pretty much the best thing until you can afford grief, IMHO - but it is far more important that you get dracul's.

Guardian angel is good only if you can actually hit 90 res all with it. Otherwise use smoke (again, essentially free), or for relatively cheap, ebug prudence is nice.

I second the black flail. Its a good choice for a budget smiter.

A good armor choice could be treachery - Cheap runeword with lvl 15 fade and 45 ias. The fade aura will give you alot of resistance and 15% dr + it reduces the length of curses.

tgods > verdungo in ubertristram

And as magicrectangle said; you really need draculs. Also a lifetap wand on the switch is useful before draculs' curse kicks in. You can shop these at Akara.

Treachery is nice for prebuff if you want to try to use fanaticism against meph, but I wouldn't use it as my actual armor while fighting.

It IS an option for the actual fight imo. The ias from treachery will eliminate the need for extra ias, which allows you to use salvation aura, when fighting mephisto. Salvation + fade = quite a lot of resistance.

Thats just how I would do it, but its all a matter of preference.

do you use a helper at all in ubers this will be my first char for ubers
