cannot be frozen for ww barb?

hello i was just lookin for some advice since im not really sure about this one....

i have a ww polearm barb in single player 1.11 and anyways i was wondering if i really need the cannot be frozen mod, right now im in act5 normal at lvl 34 and whenever i get chylled i slow down obviously but it seems i get alot more whirlwind hits in.

would it be better to have cannot be frozen? or is it pretty much a necessity like most melee builds?

also is cannot be frozen keep u from being chylled or do u actually get frozen solid? i dont have a raven frost so i probably wouldnt be able to get cannot be frozen but if i eventually found the raven frost it would be nice to know about this particular situation.

sorry for the novel... thanks for any feedback much appreciated

IMO all melle and caster chars need CBF frozen goes from little freeze to high-duration/lot slow freezes, sometimes this is a + point somtimes a -

a ww/polearm barb has no block, neither does it haves a very good def since it is missing a shield. if you get froozen and some high-unique monster hits you this can be very unpleasant coz it is pretty hard avoiding these sometimes very hard hits since u are frozen, so use an CBF item and i think u'll see that it is better, otherwise u can allways take it off :) and keep it in your inventory and only use it on moment u ened it.

WW hits a certain amount of time per second. When you are chilled, you move more slowly, meaning each target gets hit many more times per WW. This can be good against groups that don't move very much, but then you still might have to do some running when they are all dead while chilled. But, if this group is getting the best of you, it means it will take longer to get the hell out and/or drink a pot.

True, he doesn't need CBF, but if you were to find a Raven Frost, you may end up putting it on him anyway. They do wonders for a Barb's AR, and the other mods besides that and CBF certainly don't hurt.

You'll spawn a mana burn/cold enchanted pack and wont beable to whirlwind then you'll wish you had 'cannot be frozen'.

You may or may not have noticed by now since you're in bhaal runs, but CBF is a good idea even if it isn't necessary. True WW barbs can still whirl their way out of a mob when chilled but for those bhaal runs having it helps ALOT.
Seeing as how bhaal loves to decrep you during the run, coupled with your barb being chilled can make the fight against Lister and his pack go bad very quickly. Also of note, you're going to do NM and hell i would think so you're gonna have to go through the CS again sooner or later. Again there, the OK's can decrep you and the same scenario presents itself again as in the bhaal runs.

There are other items that carry the CBF mod on them. I have done it without CBF and i'm sure you can too but it is a worthwhile mod to have. Oh fr/w and fhr sc's can be life saver's as well. Good luck with your WW barb!

Though, with Oblivion Knights, you'll probably be more worried about something else, rather than their decrepify curse

Nothing can kill my barbs faster than WW and Iron Maiden :stoned:

Ugh......still sends shivers down my spine when i hear that dreaded sound! It's the stuff of nightmares.......... :scared:

Hey wait a minute........when you ran through there for me awhile back, man you must've taken less than a minute with your barb. How DID you do that? Inquiring minds wanna know.

I used my berserker, with max howl, and I only killed the seal bosses + Diablo himself. Howl is great for getting some breathing space. Unfortunately, the OK's are immune to it, but they can't really do much to a berserker anyway.

Properly outfitted, a berserker can kill the seal bosses in about 2-5 hits anyway :)
