BvB without Twitch, Angelics?

Alright, I keep trying new things. I've been messing around with various pieces of equiptment. I decided to swap out my Twitch for Rattlecage. Then for some damage frenzy I went crazy playing around with jewellery.

Anyways, long story short. I'm trying my normal twitch barbarian (C.Lvl 54) with no twitch, no angelics and no swordback. Problem is that none of his new gear has a single drop of life on it. Except for Bloodfist.

Gear
30 Strength Crown
122 Naga (100 Attack Rating)
Rare Ammy (15 Strength, 10 Dexterity, 4% Mana Leech, +18 Prizmatic)
Rare Ring (112 Attack Rating, 3-4 Damage, 6 Dexterity)
Rare Ring (105 Attack Rating, 6 minimum Damage, 19 Cold Resist, 20 Lightning Resist)
Goblin Toe
Rattlecage
Bloodfist
Rare Sharkskin Belt (18 Strength, 1-4 Cold Damage)
Sigon Shield

I only have around 1950 Attack Rating.
And about 2250 Life on new gear.

Opposed to the 5750 Attack Rating.
And about 2450 Life of normal gear.

I gain about 50 Minimum and 40 Maximum Damage on my whirlwind and have 50% Crushing blow. Is this more viable or less viable for BvB?

Insert entry here.

Find some better gloves than Bloodfist, preferably War Gauntlets with Str and Dex, high ED, leech and rez for leveling. If you're gonna be using RCage, shop for a high ED 30/20 Pavise. Otherwise, go with a a high def Ornate with life and high ED, Str/Dex if you're lucky, and other mods like rez if you desire them, no FHR needed; wear a Grim Shield with high ED 30/20...you know the deal. GToes should never change. Finally, get yourself a high def Grim Helm or Grand Crown with lots of life and ED. Rest of the gear looks fine.

The rings blow.

If you havent saved up stats, just use angelics

Your gear looks kinda off. Either go for all out defense or ignore it completely imo.

If your gonna use sig shield, use it in conjunction with the helm for more ar, then you can get by w/o using angelics

Here is a mini bvb guide.. more directed to a baba using an exe, but it also works with naga

Sigs helm + shield
Rcage (even more ar from here)
2X rare rings w/ 25 to strength and dex (only needs dex if using exe) between them, ar, min etc.
+ barb stat ammy w/ dtm
Gtoe obviously
Bloodfists are great not only for 40 life, but the +5 min is very nice after ed... rare 15 strength//15 dex gloves are probably better though.
As for belt, a + life + strength belt is a solid choice, personally i like deaths sash for cbf (ww tends to lag me when im chilled)
Rare exe with nice damage, possibly -% requirements, naga is generally better... but i <3 the exe look :]

Well duh, the point of the belt is to give minor frame rate differences in a whirlwind to the opposing barbarian. Cold lags them and when they lag I cash in.

Yeah I've decided to use the standard set-up.
It just works better.
I put the rings on a character better needing them.

by chilling a whirlwind barb you are helping them hurt you more

Well its a double edged sword. A chilled barb does move slower. This allows him to hit you more, but also for you to hit him more.

Asumming they use the same range weapon and ww in the same line in opposite directions, there will be no net effect of having cold damage compared to not having cold damage.

A range 3 barb would want cold damage against a range 1 barb, because he would be able to get more hits in in the time it takes for the two to ww past eachother.

However, the main advantage of having cold damage is to try to catch your opponent in a bad position. A colded (?) barb takes a while to finish his ww, and if the other barb times it right, he can get in a ww while the other barb is standing still.
