Buriza for bowazon?

What is better? Multi-shot or strafe.

Just kidding.

As far as bows go for bowazon, how does Buriza compare to the rest of them? This is the best bow I have access to at the moment, unless my friend let me use his Eagle horn. Is buriza viable in hell?

Basically this is what my set up for skill points would look like.

20 Strafe
20 Pierce
20 Penetrate
17 Valkerye

I would basically be using this zon for farming keys, and doing alvl85 runs.

The burrito-zon is a time honered tradition and has stood the test of time throughout many patches. It is a fine bow to use on a strafer.

BTW, if you're on USEAST ladder, I got an eaglehorn and/or a GSA with your name on them if you find me online. I'm usually on in the evenings.

there is only one advantage i can see to strafing with a buri

the next delay problem is much less serious than with a 9/2 --> 7/2 bow

game runs at 25 frames per second

x in x/y means # of frames needed for normal ranged attack/multishot/guided/etc.

y in x/y means # of frames needed for EACH arrow of a strafe volley AFTER the first arrow

To answer the original question - in my book, the Buriza is endgame, not as a primary weapon on a strafer but on a multizon. Moreover, the buritto has 100% pierce, so you can drop those 20 into something more useful, like FrzA.

Just a bit of clarification...

First, there is no difference in the next delay between 9/2 and 7/2, since the first number has to do with the first arrow, and the second number has to do with all subsequent arrows. Since all arrows will follow each other by 2 frames, the next delay is the same. Actually, its a moot point because 215 IAS with a burrito only gets you to 11/3 strafe, ie I don't think it is possible to shoot the cannon at 9/2.

Now, if you shoot two volleys, then yes there could be a difference between the last arrow of cycle 1 and the first arrow of cycle 2. But likely not. The first number is the number of frames to start and end the cycle. I don't recall the exact break down, but I think it is roughly half on each side of the cycle. If so, then you cannot next delay between cycles.

Also, the first number is NOT the frames for a regular attack, it is the frames to start and end a strafe cycle. This number is usually close to the normal attack, but it does not guarantee that the normal attack will be as fast or faster. For example, 60 IAS is a 9/3 strafe in a WSM [0] bow (eg, WWS) but only a 10 frame normal (65 hits 9 frames). Check them all out in the sticked thread on Strafe break points (I think its the one that also discusses next delay).

Good luck,
