Boneflame or Homunculus?

I'm plannin on makin a PVP Poisonmancer.. was wonderin what I should use.. Boneflame or Homunculus?

If going poison u have 2 choices: 3 piece trang (shield, belt and gloves) for juicy -25% enemy poison resist or Homunculus.
Out of these 2, I'd always pick the first option.

yah, with those 3 pieces you can also socket poison facet on shield for more poison damage and effect.

If by chance you don't have the trang's parts though...I would choose Homo over the other one.

3 Trang pieces combo > homo/spider/trang gloves?

hmmm.. what u guys think? cause thats what it sounds like u guys are sayin.

Most people that use 3 pieces of trangs...go with:belt/claw/shield combo. The shield being the most important part...because it's the one that gives you the main thing your after...the - poison resist.

That would leave you a few options for the rest of your equipment as well.

sorry this is a little off topic, but previously mentioned, ''There will never, ever, ever ever ever ever be a reason to choose boneflame.'' is this true for summoners too? because it would seem the +2-3 all skills and res. would be better. but maybe not?

Boneflamme is okay if you get a +3 --- I'd probably prefer Homunculus over a +2 boneflamme.
It really depends what you need. +3 boneflamme has an additional skill level, some resistances, and faster run/walk. Homunculus has more resistances, no frw, but helps with mana.

Homunculus is much more common, and it has no variable stats --- so you know what you get. I never tried to get a boneflamme, though --- but those PvP people like the blocking on the homunculus, so there's a good chance that a boneflamme might be cheaper after all...

For my Skelemanceers I always used TO, so I never had to make that choice I already had a homunculus, so I used that for my bonemancer rather than getting another shield.

right, i use a homuncolus now on my summoner and its good, but i use to use a +3 boneflame and i was please with it, i just didnt get why every1 trashes it. i thought there was a vital stat that i just want seeing
