meteorb. Nothing beats it for a starter mfer. Its cheey but whatever.
Max Orb, a few poitns into cold mastery and max fireball, meteor and maybe firebolt or firemastery.
Str enough for gear
Dex enough for max block or nothing at all
Vit everthing else

Well easiest and cheapest way to start is a meteor/frozen orb one I would say. This way you can handle most of the immune ones that pop up in nm and hell. There are a few cold/fire immunes in hell but then use static on them and let merc handle them.
Do mf runs on meph in nm and you will get some decent drops to help you gear up and your merc to begin with. In hell I would suggest do not rush the acts. Semi bosses and such can drop good stuff all over the acts. I have found 2 vex runes in act1 this way and many good unique items all over the acts.

Starting from scratch and with no access to items, and strictly for mf/wealth purpouses, I think nothing beats a blizzard sorc (not speaking about other classes here)
If you dont fulfill one of the cases above (u can have some decent gear or u want to use ur sorc for something more than getting wealth with her), then meteorb is better choice.

indeed. Blizzard can also become a pretty efective PvPer with the right itens.
The downpart of the blizard is that it locks you with meph, andy, pindle and a few other places. It is not fast enought to run pits and rush people unless you have a good merc.
Also, he is starting at the sorc, so it would be interesting to him to experience the sorc in the intire game without many imune problems.

Rush is far more productive than mf, so I suggest you start with hybrid sorcs. I started with CLFO, but lost due to lack of +skills that she desperately needs, and the str and dex req for Spirit and Max Block.(my mistake)
As I see, people say Meteorbs are not as item-dependent as CLFO, so go with that. (Full Tals ain't that expensive, and kinda like a Mal for the time being. That's around 10 NM rushes needed.)
Btw, make the sorc you plan, rush NM, when you have enough stuff, go to hell.

I'm currently working on a Blizzard Sorc, and I'm having a lot of fun. It's really easy to aim Blizzard so my enemies walk into it, and I've got Glacial Spike for those that stand at a distance. I will need someone to help me in Hell, though.:wink:
