Base Str/Dex for a Fire Claw?

Well I've gotten my FC druid to lv 80 now, but have saved like 90 stat pts becuase I'm not sure how many to use. I want to use stormshield which has a str req of 150 something, and a phase blade which is 130 something dex.

Now i konw we want most of the pts to go into vit, but I dont really want to be dependent on gloves/boots to add str/dex. (IK gloves?)

Any recommendations? What base levels do u guys have that are effective? (I really need more hp)
 
is this pvp? then you need enoug dex to get max block of 75% then the rest in vit. If pvm then you might want to go 6 sheal great poleaxe no shield but range of 5 which is great for pvm.
 
Yes, its primarily pvp (very fun btw)

I primarily want to know what BASE str and dex guys are using, and what items u use to up the str/dex to use a Stormshield/Phase Blade
 
Well what us your armor? Some use enigma in a breast plate which means you have to add almost no str points. As for dex it really depends on the rest of you hear are you using mara which gives you those extra str and dex? If you list the rest of your gear it would help a lot.
 
Well I'm planning on using a stone armour, which gives good def and +str. Angelic ammy/ring. Ravenfrost. Jalal's Mane. String of Ears for now. Not sure on the boots/gloves. My goal is to use Stormshield and phase blade.

If u could tell me your BASE stats, I would appreciate it. I wanna use some of my 90 spare skill pts, but dont wanna overshoot. Right now i have like 80 base str, and 50 base dex i think.
 
Brunz its gonna be a little hard to help you out as much as your hoping. The whole stat placement always boils down to your char personally. Its like a tailored suit. What fits someone else perfect could be a lil snug around the nugz for you. If you had all your end game gear already it would be much more helpful. Armor plays a HUGE role in what the rest should be. For now gear suggestions would be about as good as its going to get. Im not top notch in pvp but I have a fairly good idea as to what druids get the most milage out of. Ill list a few things and maybe youll like them maybe some of the other guys can throw some suggestions in and help you on your way. Heres what I really want to use myself and why. (not that i can afford right now ><)

Helm
Jalals Mane- This doesnt really need to be explainded now does it? Sure cerberus is the specialty shifter helm but this baby is overall the sweetest. str bonus to help u get to SS, mad skills, FHR etc etc.
Armor
Sup Archon Coh- fairly low str which can be reached quite easily with Jalals. 103 str req. CoH adds monsterous stats all around. 20 str, 65 resists, 2 skills, big def. I just dont see how you can go wrong with it.
Belt
Trang-Ouls Girth- Yes the set necro belt. This one is very oppioniated I suppose. Verdungos has the ever useful DR but Trangs allows you to pimp CBF, and 66 life. After shifting thats over 300 life. Dungos doesnt work the same as its vit bonus. CBF free's up other slots for useful mods.
Boots
Waterwalks- Big life and Dex. 15 dex on a boot is nice. No need to explain is there?
Gloves
Bloodfists- This is almost a staple druid item. Come on now.

Well thats what I would use. Sure I have to pump more str and dex than some, but those life bonuses and free'd up item slots allow for more IMHO.
It still keeps base str and vit fairly low. This is just a suggestion people. Dont fry me now by saying there is a better way. Im sure there is and Im all ears and more than willing to help find it. This is just where I started looking. :P Heres hoping someone else helps.

I just thought I figured what I would need str wise to use my current gear if I had planned right. Currently mt base is enough for SS. Ouch I know. But if i took enough to use str bug I would need 121. thats using Jalals, anni, a gc i have with 4 str. I use ornate CoH so it does me no good str boost wise since its 170 str. >< damn. If i had Archon or a nice low str CoH it could be chopped by another 20 pts. Just had to throw that comment in to give u an idea where ud be.
 
OK, we're getting a little closer :)

Basically, I want to equip my SS and phase blade. I now have 60 stat pts to use. Not sure if I can afford a COH armour. If I can get one of you guys to tell me your BASE str and dex, it would help me out alot. Im not looking to perfectly duplicate someone else's build. I just want to make sure I dont waste a huge amount of stat pts when I dont need to.

Again, getting your guys' BASE str/dex/vit would be greatly appreciated

what will your stone be in? what kind of armor? Use that as your base so if the armor requires 100 str you base should be 100 if its 120 the use 120 with the +str from the armor and jalal etc you should have enough to use stormsheild. As for the dex you will have more then enough to use a phase because you need to have enough for max block which varies with you level so you are besically more or less 2 dex per level...this is very rough.
 
So if I pump my dex right now to a base of 135 to use the phase blade (I currently have no +dex gear), there wont be a waste of stat pts?

I REALLY want to start using this phase blade lol.


----And most likely the stone will be in a 100 or less str requirement armour
 
Pump your dex until you have a chance to block of 75%. Dont worry youll have more than enough to use a phase blade. When your in the lvl 80 or more range you need a good bit of dex to maintain block. Just keep an eye on it when u lvl and pump as needed.

+dex gear to consider is waterwalks (+15) and angelic rings and ammy (+10 i think.)
 
Thx, I just pumped my dex to 136 and DAMN is that phase blade fast!
