Baal's 2nd wave

I've been trying to run Baal and Pindle with my single tree Bliz Sorc in hopes of one day having a full Tal set (need Armor and Ammy). I'm SP, so I have to find it since I don't trade.

I can run Baal fine on Players 3, except the fact that Baals second wave of cold immune skeletons take forever for my merc to kill. I was wondering if using a wand or something with lower resist charges would help. Or maybe there is something that I don't know or forgetting that could help.

Right now, I pretty much kill the horadim (sp?) and then static the skeletons and teleport to them and wait for merc kill. He has decent gear (Tal mask, Shaftshop, and Kelpie or Reapers (I alternate)).

If you're looking for the armour, run Hell Pindleskin a few thousand times. Much faster than trudging through five waves to get to Baal. The rest of the set items are best collected from Hell Meph, except for the amulet which is best farmed from Hell Andy.

As a pure Blizz sorc, run the first two waves at /p1. Kill the mummies, static the skellies, and teleport on top of each skeleton for the merc to kill. Up the player settings from waves three to five for more experience. IIRC, a lower resist wand cannot break the cold immunity of those skellies. Reaper's is ideal for killing those skellies. Kelpie for Baal.

Alternatively, a dual Hel'ed Bonehew on switch at /p1 is used to Corpse Explode the mummies and take out the skellies.

Yeah, I've been doing some Pindle too, I only run about 50 before I get tired of it, so just trying to switch it around to make playing a little more enjoyable.

Patience and persistance will eventually pay off.

If you are looking for other areas to run try the ancient tunnels(lost city act 2 ) in hell.

No monsters are cold immune apart from a few unique monsters can spaw cold immune.

Wow, I'm in awe! I just have to run countess a few times, then I have to give this a try. I only have one Hel at the moment, but a second one or some runes to cube up should not be that hard to gather.

I've been doing Baal runs with my Blizzard sorc when I first restarted Ladder. The trick is just staying far enough so that Baal can't "Decrep" your merc. Tele back a bit, and lure the skele mages towards you. Even with an insight weapon, your merc + static should be enough.
