Advice on the Immortal Queen.

Ok, I'm planning to build an IK sorceress. You like the name? :azn:

Anyway, I figured out most of it, skill points in the masteries, one point usuals, base energy and so on, but I am not sure what to do with the spare skill points.

Some suggestions have been to put the points into the enchantress side with enchant and warmth, but I have done the enchantress thing and I'd prefer to leave enchant to the weapon switch, Leaf is it?

So that leaves perhaps a hybrid ES build with some points in mana to try and fuel it, SOJ, mana charms etc, or maxing out a cold armor combined with defiance merc for some insane defence which could work with walk only and tele.

So, comments and suggestions welcome!

Ok, I know that you'll be using most of the IK set (obviously you won't use the helm, but I'm not sure about the armour, and you're surely planning to use the other 4 set pieces)...

But why are you so vague on the skills you have planned? I assume it'll be masteries to boost the partial-set elemental bonuses on the maul and going melee? It's not like this is that common of a build you know, so you should fill us in on some real details for your plans. You know better than to be vague about a relatively uncommon build.

*kicks shins in admonishment*

And assuming it's 4 pieces and masteries, I say Nova... you're going to be at close range anyways, and you won't need mana for much else, so take advantage of it. Vipermagi seems like the best armour to boost your FCR in this case (it'll help your teleport too).

I'm not sure if you are going to hit anything with a level <10 Enchant and at least 1 SoJ. I used dual Angelics and a Demonlimb and even then my queen still missed plenty of times. The AR from the IK set is a nice bonus but it doesn't cut it on its own.

With a build like this you can't afford to miss; she is not that safe, and she doesn't attack that fast.

i'd say, shiver armour is a 1pt wonder.
i'd suggest this:
max enchant
10 fmastery
1 cmastery
1 shiver
1 static, teleport and TS
max lmastery, ES and TK

total 105 skillpoints.

a defiance merc with Insight will keep your mana up.

Sirpoops You turn up in the oddest places! I hope you had your flame proof boots on when you kicked me!

Probably would be using the armor on the build as the armor grants 40/50% resistance to all but it largely depends. Upped viper is a good, probably better choice but I am wondering about the character theme here. Another IK armor isn't hard to trade for I would imagine in the SPF currently.

I had plans of a high defence build to combat the fraility of the soser in melee with shiver armor. IK set typically is around 1685 defence with level 23 shiver would be 5380 defence. Add in a defiance merc and you would have over 15 kay defence partnered with IK's 20% PDR and a merc poking things with a reapers toll.

I don't think the build would be that fragile. I did play my two handed avenger to level 87 with only string of ears for PDF and a defence of a low , 1,500 or so and 1,200 hit points.

Anyway, the planned build currently looks like this;

Ik maul, boots, belt, gloves, armor. One ias jewel somewhere for 11 frame attack.
Kira's circlet for the bare head look and bulk of resists.
Mara's amulet, raven frost.
Weapons switch demon limb.
back pack of remaining resistance needs, life charms and a few elemental damage where it will fit.

merc with reapers, and usual survival set up. Vamp and gladiators or something.

Skills are 20 lightning, fire mastery, shiver armor and warmth.
1 point TK, tele, static, cold armor and cold mastery.

Remaining skill points into cold mastery.

damage with an empty back pack is around 4-7.5 kay, 11 frame attack and 3385 AR so STephan is right about the need to fix AR on a immortal queen.
