A Silly Druidic Question

I've been "looking for" :spy:
a 3 socket +3 werewolf, +3 lycanthropy level 6 druid pelt. I'm pretty sure that exists and is possible to get, unless 2 x +3 skill somehow raises the level restriction.
Oh, and the odds to finding one are astronomical, so if anyone happens to see one in USEast Nonladder (ladder will do, I believe in the merge )
But pretty please druidmasters, release me from my pain of not knowing for sure if my "search" is in vain.
The reason i "" looking for and seach is because you don't really need a MF char to get one, so I've been leveling a few extra levels in black marsh / tamoe on my new chars jumping on every pelt i see.

P.S.
Is there a place for silly posts that almost qualify as a druid thing, a trade thing, and a dumbassidiot post thing?

I don't know if it is possible to find or not, but i know that you will stand almost no chance of finding such a helm, simply because you are looking for it. I think it's a special telepathic feature that was included in Diablo 2, known as "super technology"

Im with you on that one warlock, when ever you concentrat to hard on finding one specific somthing you overlook lots of other things, and probably dont end up finding the thing you where specifically looking for.

*cough cough, c3po mh, has a item feature where you can make certien items your looking for (eg. eth. phaseblades with sockets turn a certain color) and something like that could be help full, so that when you first meet one of them you dont over look it... cough cough*

a lvl 1 skill spawning on an helm with 3 sockets? Surely if the item is high enough level to have 3 sockets, it's far too high a level to have +WW or Lyc on it...?

Try asking in the statistics forum, they might know. Don't take my word for it

I think BobTMC is right, it will probably have a higher lvl requirement when there are 3 sockets so the chance of getting two lvl 1 skills on it will be slim... This is only a feeling, you should ask someone who knows about the drop thingies(single player forum also has some code peddlers).

Except if this item exists it is alot rarer and i dont think Caerbannog will be offering 18 runes + whatever else LifePincher is offering for it

Anyone that has played nethack KNOWS that the one second your character fumbles his/her gloves of, a trapdoor WILL appear below him, and the trapdoor being the result of a landmine - thereby lowering one's strenght - your char will be "Stressed" and FALL on the coctarice coctarige coctaridge howeveruspellitagain corpse, and turn your character to stone :cheesy:

I said nothing about the items level requirements, but its "ilvl", the level of the item itself. Your having a pelt with a lvl 6 skill and three sockets bodes well for your finding one wiht lvl 1 skills and three sockets.

What ladder would this be? I've seen no official announcement on any of the blizzard websites...

You hit the nail on the head here.

The skills you are looking for werewolf and lyc are level 1 skills and as such are found in tier 1 of the staffmods which requires an ilvl of 1-11 to obtain. With such a low ilvl no pelt will spawn with 3 sockets. the pelts with enough qlvl to drop with 3 sockets are only found at higher ilvls. you would actually have to create (by cubing and other measures) a high qlvl pelt with a low ilvl to get such an item. but in doing that you would end up with the chioce of a ilvl 30 magic item or a lower ilvl rare item. both of which would not have the 3 sockets that you are looking for.

Oh and its the qlvl due to item type that allows the 3 sockets. Ilvl only determines it if that item type has more then one upper limit IE 2 normal 3 nightmare and hell. But you have the right idea here.

This is a tier 2 skill and able to be found from ilvl 12-26 or 28 I don't remember offhand but it also hasa 10% chance up to ilvl 35-40 again I don't remember I only remember the tier ones range. either way you were very lucky to get that one to drop since the qlvl was just high enough and the ilvl was just low enough for it.

+1 to wolf, +2 lyc or the other way round....
All dem weird qlevels and ilevels and mlevels and alevels pfft, they belong to the statistics forum and Hakai no Tenshi's head :howdy:
But BASICALLY, if it can get 3 sockets and +3 to one of the skills (think i have that too) it could get 3, 3, 3 ? Just kinda like hoping for that perfect rare dimensional blade drop with the runes u need for the upgrade..
