A Nice Observation

Today, I traded my shako away and was left with 74% less magic find. But i continued to magic find, and I found 4 Hate keys in 10 games! Is this a sign telling me that less magicfind will equal more keys? I have appoximately 160 mf. Has this ever happened to anyone before? Is this just random luck? Or is Blizzard rewarding the righteous?
 
That's what I thought, but I do believe that the Diablo Gods have rewarded me for my righteousness:laugh:. Now when will 4 hrs drop for me...
 
My keyrunner sorceress found a set of keys within the first half dozen runs before I added magic find to her. Afterwards, it took me two days during which time she gained experience from level 80-82 solely key running in order to complete the three sets. This is of course only coincidence, and I mention it to get your hopes up.

It probably is, but it is awkward that someone else has the same observation.

Now that I mention it, which char is most capable of running Nihlathak? It takes me either a very long time or i won't get there at all (depending on char).

I like my trapisin for that. Fire bomb on left and death sentry on right.
I also like my strafezon with wisp projector ring.
But then again my smiter doesn't do too badly with him either.
I rarely even see Nithy with the first two characters.

Sounds like a plan. The zon that is. Multi/strafe would clear out those corridors in a blink of an eye. I might even start out with brand new strafezon for this reason. But the problem is indeed that it becomes harder to advance when you go deeper in, to the point that it is undoable. That is my experience with my hammy/soso/zmite/java in any case.

I use my ww barb. Just look for the exit to the next level down. If a pack of monsters get in your way then whirlwind through them. Even easier if you have an enigma on him. When fighting Nihil just stay in a constant ww. With all the monsters around him and the leech off of my two ebotds I rarely go below 3/4 of my life before I kill him and all the corpses stop exploding.

I use my ww barb to run countess and summoner too. Same strategy, just ww through packs that block your way and keep on trucking.
 
i second the trapsin, truely awesome, easy and safe :cool:
also a fishymancer with eni works well as well...
 
I use a berserker with Enigma, tele in place howl his minions and give him a few good blows. The toughness of a barb makes things as Vipers a joke, single target attack makes sure no CE kills you. Never died in a NIhli run with him, although it was a close call once when it lagged and I started attacking his minions instead allowing him to CE me 3-4 times.
 
I'm a little wierd but I use my Singer Barb (sick tank), Trapper and Java to run Nili. Super safe, super effective the lot of 'em.

I'd say Trapper is likely the easiest with cheap, crappy gear - DSentry is god down there.
 
I use my Hammerdin to run nith. I can usually do it without dying if I don't have natures peace but when I equip natures peace it's GG for nith...Even in 8 player games
 
I did another run today and found a Terror key and when I did Nihl, died a second after I killed him (he CE'd me right before he died!), when a looked on the ground there was a unique ring and a Gc! I didn't leave a TP to i tried to quickly exit and rejoin. Unfortunatelt, the game did not exist anymore. I was so angry! When I did my next Nihl run, the Diablo Gods pittied my by dropping an El rune! I was thinking only a couple trillion El's to go and I have a HR (there was a post about this somewhere)!
