I found a 3 socketed, +3 to Holy Shock scepter the other day and thought I would make BLACK out of it. It would make great mid-lvl weapon for my Tesladin. Well even though it says Mace Class I guess it isnt. Blizzard should have made a Scepter Class for these weapons. Here's the results of it. Oh well, luckily the runes are easy to find and I can always find a Flail or War Hammer to make it in.

A Tesladin or Shockadin as they are also known was my first build in 1.10 ladder and is a very nice build, the weapon I found to be a good mid level was Holy Thunder (Eth + Ral + Ort + Tal) it gives you added skills to your lightning and added lightning damage. This works great till about act 5 NM then you have to move on, you should be able to make Crescent Moon which is a must to make it through Hell.

Apparently, according to the Arreat Summit, Scepters have their own class, which is the "Scepter class", and besides that, there's also a "Mace class".

Scepters are part of the "Rod Class", but show scepter class in-game as well.
