Forum Mafia - The Dark Tower Game Thread

The task is a hidden riddle in a portion of the text I wrote myself. I really ought not to give even this much of a hint but I honestly thought someone would figure it out and have it solved already.

Somebody with knowledge of the books need to filter the text for what he hasn't written himself.

[h=1]“I do not aim with my hand; he who aims with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I aim with my eye.

I do not shoot with my hand; he who shoots with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I shoot with my mind.

I do not kill with my gun; he who kills with his gun has forgotten the face of his father.
I kill with my heart.”[/h]

I'll sound the horn. I'll climb those steps. I'll open the door to The Room.

Ka is a wheel. For the inhabitants of all-world, this has ever been so. When last the world began to turn, six beams there were, and twelve guardians to guard them. But the world has moved on, and now but two remain.
This part sticks out to me the most in the introduction. It almost sounds like a clock.

I thought it sounded like the beginning of a Wheel of Time book.

That was my first thought too. The first paragraph isn't directly from the books, but it contains many facts of the books. There are the 12 Guardians of the Beams, 2 on each beam. But the inclusion of "Ka is a wheel" and "12" just keeps me thinking 'clock' or 'time'.

I don't know whether or not the riddle will require knowledge fromt he books or not, but I doubt it, considering Drixx mentioned that knowledge of the books is not required.

I don't know much about the books other than what I read on Wikipedia, but the thing that stood out to me was "shall we look at whback at what came before?" my understanding is that Roland has done this quest before. I'll have a harder read when I get home from work phone posting / reading is hard

Ka is a wheel. For the inhabitants of all-world, this has ever been so. When last the world began to turn, six beams there were, and twelve guardians to guard them. But the world has moved on, and now but two remain. The gunslinger, Roland, has completed the beginning of his journey and palavered with the man in black. Shall we look back at what has come before?

This just seems to refer to a clock. The beams seem represent the beams you may expect to find in roman numerals, i.e., on older clocks. The six beams must be refering to XII, or 12. If that was all linked together with beams it would have 6 beams, and represent the number twelve. I guess if you exclude the top and bottom beams on the second time, "2", it would just be ll, or two beams. It's moved on, from 12 to 2, either AM or PM.

That was really confusing to type out, so I hope you understand what I mean.
