Well, he kept his cool, somehow, but he's done with the game.

At least he is leaving in a way better than most of them.

Turns out Thyiad was good. The scum were planning a frame job. RIP Thyiad.

Does anyone have the faintest idea why I'm still alive?

Worked awfully hard to build the train on Zemaj over several days, who turned up townie. I'm also suspicious of Noodle, flub, and coju, our semi-contributors. Frankly, the only person I'm sure of is Val.
 
So, I asked Pharphis... Noodle is still alive because Zemaj was a NK-only bomb.

Jason, any news snippets? Anything that might help us find out why were there two kills? Was one of them Mafia? Were both townies? I'm leaning towards Glib for a lynch but I don't know anymore.
 
I'd like to know what snippet you got too, then we can have many sets of eyes analyze it to see if it could be interpreted another way.

Thank you, Jason, for your "semi-contributor" post! Also, are we declaring Leo and Thy to be town? No speculations on the two deaths, or is everyone afraid to be labeled if you bring it up?
 
After a small number crunch, very small, there could possibly be 2-3 mafia still alive. 4-6 to start with 2 mafia dead that I know of: FoE and Goryani. Anyone else have any confirmed dead mafians?

The snippet from last night was about setting Thyiad up because she's a poor player and always looks like she's bad. Not very nice, but that's what I heard. There's only two possibilities I can see - I heard scum discussing a frame job, or cult members doing the same. In the former case, she's likely a townie, in the latter, who knows, as the cult members wouldn't care. However, I find it highly unlikely that there is a cult, or else I doubt we'd still be playing.

As for numbers, I think we can reasonable certainty put the following names in the confirmed townie bin: Pyro, Sath (Masons), Drixx (Cop), Myself (Eavesdropper), Korial, Zemaj (lynched townies), Zokar (mod killed townie), Solar (confirmed townie by Sath). In addition, the following NKs are almost certainly by the scum and thus are likely townies: CG, BA, Bipolar, Laarz. If what I heard last night was from scum, add Leopold (because they wouldn't kill whoever they were intending to set up). That's 13 probable townies, though there may be a neutral or two in there. We only know of 2 dead scum - FoE and Gory. Thyiad is the odd one out, though what I heard appears to confirm her as not being scum. So with only 2 out of 15 departed players as scum, I think we may be scarily close to lights out. In fact, I think if we don't lynch a scum today, it will be game over.

No pressure.

I thought Fred had a feasible claim since I have no knowledge of the book. Drixx pointed out the inconsistencies of the claim, so I turned around. I think knowing the lore of the game one is playing is a huge advantage from all sides and alignments. Take Goryani, for example. The only adult claim by a living player is Thyiad's, whose claim was a Mazer Rackham. According to the wiki, this guy was a general from Earth who was sent back in time to train Ender for some invasion (link). I'm not saying that Thyroid is not the player they were referring to, but considering your previous snippet, I have a more suspicious target.

Jason, do you remember your post #496? You wrote that someone apologized for not being around to sway the lynch train. In retrospective, it would make no sense for Pyro (a confirmed townie) to apologize for not saving scum, so the only other option is that it was Glib talking to his mates. If you add that he's in the same timezone as Goryani, and that he's the only person left to claim, it makes sense he's the one your last snippet is about.

Why is it interesting? Because one of the scum apologised to his/her/its buddies for not being present at the end of day 2 in order to sway the voting. This confirms FoE as 100% scum, which in turn casts serious doubt on Goryani. Whoever it is, they mentioned the only way they would have succeeded in swaying the voting is with a false Vigilante claim (I don't follow their thinking, but that's what they said). This scum also cursed in a way very reminiscent (eerily so) of Pyro a few posts above.

The rest was stating they need to get rid of someone (me, presumably, in which case Goryani may be just an idiot and not scum), and that they need to protect someone else, at the cost of stopping them from using his ability (dunno how that would work, but it's very clear that protection = no ability).

Personally, due to the foul-mouthed mimicry of what I heard overnight, and the absence from the thread for the 24 hours leading up to the lynch, I believe Pyro is scum. However, he can wait for tomorrow, as can Goryani. Today,

Why did you quote that post? The message I heard was confirmed as Pyro apologising to Sath for not being around. At the time I posted that, I didn't know who it was, though I did suspect Pyro (I was right, just wrong about his role - Mason, not Mafia). He was actually talking about being around to convince more people to vote for FoE so he would have been lynched, instead of the no lynch we ended up with. I misread it as the scum plotting to railroad someone else.
 
Dang it coju I wanted to be the first one to vote for me. That way when I turn up town (and I will) it will make me look like mafia for starting the train on myself.....like this game's logic has proven /derp-o-rama

After reviewing his posts from the past few days I've noticed quite a few inconsistencies. Alas, I have school at the moment. So, I may be able to post at lunch (around 12 or so) about the reasons for my vote.
