Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Anyway, back to this game. I don't really want to change votes since I'm convinced of Korial's alignment so far, but considering the phase is almost over, and since Autti was actually my first suspicion yesterday, I'll switch my vote to him to ensure the lynch. I hope he's not a bomb...

Unvote: Korialstraz
Vote: Autti

End votes for day 2:

Korialstraz(1): [Caluin Graye], Valharous
Ankeli(1): Sathorsis
Flubbucket(3): Koral, [Loz], Gwahuir
Autti(10): Flubbucket, Ankeli, FoE, Kegs, goryani, CG, Loz, Pyro, Coju, Bad Ash

I find it interesting that Val's vote is not reflected on Autti's lynch. Did Rlyeh skip it since it was after the lock and didn't much matter? Or is it indicative of something else?

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Good news everyone! I managed to run D3 at the absolute lowest configuration! Rejoice! It seems they decided to retcon the lore. Turns out the Wanderer (D1's Warrior) is actually King Leoric's son, named Aidan (lame), who also banged Adria and had a child, who's actually Leah! But I'm sure you already know all that; I had decided to stay away from the D3 boards at all until the game launched. My only complain so far (besides the graphical art style) is that objects fly in the most stupid of ways. I used Hammer of the Ancients and a Skeleton's corpse flew away, staying in the air for full 8 seconds like if it was as light and dense as a baloon... Pity I'll only be able to play until tomorrow... Anyway, onto the game...

Rlyeh's "Autti has been lynched he was Dark Psion (Tailor/Framer), Anti-town":
What exactly is a Dark Psion? I get that it's just the flavor, but should we assume his alignment against town is because of him being mafia, or him being part of the cult? Is there any way for us to know the difference from the lynch results? As in, if Autti was a cult member, When we lynch a mafia member, we'll know he's Mafia? Either way, we should check who vouched in favor of Autti.

Rlyeh's "Perhaps the sun being so high all night had something to do with it?":
So, it would seem the dream the mafia used most likely blocked all night actions. The alternative would be for the dream to have blocked night kills, but that would be counterproductive for the mafia, unless choosing the dream is not up to them. The first theory could be supported by the fact Goryani also was unable to perform his role steal, although it could have also been the work of a Jailkeeper, Roleblocker or something alike.

Rlyeh's "The spirits of those that pass in such strange weather will reveal all their secrets":
We can assume from this, that the present dream will reveal everything regarding the players that died in this day phase (or night phase, I don't understand yet if dreams affect one particular phase, a random one, or both). Now, what exactly does "all their secrets" means? Perhaps night actions?

Bad Ash's "It was like 20 (45) minutes after I voted for Autti":
I had read your post before making mine, what I didn't take into account was that your vote wasn't on the tally posted by Rlyeh. I usually keep several tabs opened with other's entries due to my unusual way to quote the players (using hyperlinks instead of /quote), to make sure I'm using the right link. I find this ironic, since my intention with my last post was so that I wouldn't be accused of placing a vote on someone who was already going to be lynched. I'd like to remind you, though, that Autti was my first choice for a lynch on D1.

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Val's vote for Autti was illegal. It never counted because he didn't unvote korialstraz earlier.

--------------------------------------

Something in my head clicked. Who was the person who "faked" a vote by posting a picture of a vote?

Why didn't you try to target the two that were "oh so willing" to give up their roles?
Because they were 'oh so willing' to give up their roles. I crossed them off the list of targets pretty fast.

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Back to D3... I forgot to mention... Aidan (lame) had sex with Adria [highlight]after[/highlight] he had been infused with the soulstone, which means his boys in the basement were carrying modified DNA. I guess that means Leah would be some sort of Human & Prime Evil hybrid, meaning who knows what! Maybe she can use Apocalypse and break havoc all over the place; I guess the female Diablo makes sense now. Anyway, I'm so buying the Collector's Edition...

Caluin's "I find it interesting that Val's vote is not reflected on Autti's lynch":

My votes count, as far as I know; otherwise, I wouldn't be on the same tally listed having voted for Korial. I assumed it had to do either with Autti being locked, or Rlyeh making a mistake or forgetting my vote.

Goryani's "It never counted because he didn't unvote korialstraz earlier":
Check again. It can be clearly seen (Post #630) that I unvoted for Korialstraz before voting for Autti.

Goryani's "Who was the person who "faked" a vote by posting a picture of a vote?":
Hey, that was pretty rad and my ultimate fake role claim was pretty cool too. I'm proud of my super trooper anti-town skills on that game (Stargate) and the one before this one (City Mafia). Don't be a hater.

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Meh. I logged on yesterday to see if my vote was needed, but Autti had just received his clinching vote. It was the ol' lady's birthday, so I didn't spend a lot of time alone with the computer. I'll be on more tonight and tomorrow.

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Val: You are right, RE must have just not got the final vote tally right. I still find the whole late vote a bit suspicious, but unless we get mod confirmation that a lock has occurred I don't see the harm in making sure a lynch happens. I do find you're willingness to give up your role and your claim that you will never use it anyway a bit odd though.

I am curious as to what the flavor for the day means. It must be something more than a simple role/alignment though, as we already get that.

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Well, the scumdar is back online. \o/

In other news, it indeed appears that all night actions were blocked.

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Anyways my two top suspects today are Gwahir and Val. Gwahir for wanting to vote flub and trying to detract the autti lynch early on, and Val because I think he made the "oops ninja'd" post to try and cover his butt. I mean, it was like 20 minutes after I voted for Autti...not really ninja'd. I think he wanted to show he was willing to vote for Autti and knew it was a worthless vote when he couldnt place one. Would have been smarter to not say anything IMO. Might have been a slip up

Can't say the fact that flubb is my top suspect has changed, I still find him suspicious.

My guess is that your night action was not the only one blocked since there were no kills, and obviously the story was more than just flavor. Anyone want to take a guess at what the "those who pass in such strange weather will reveal all their secrets" means, or the extent that this will reach too should I say? Maybe if we lynch another mafia it will reveal all their mafia cohorts (wishful thinking).

If I had to guess, maybe we get info from anyone who would die tonight? My question is all of the things so far seem to be helping town - night talk, global role block, possibly more info from those who die. Are the mafia getting something out of this that we don't see, or are they just choosing what benefit the town receives?

Also Gory, I remember missing a question from you about playing with Zhou Ye? I think once in the NCIS game.

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Rlyeh's "Autti has been lynched he was Dark Psion (Tailor/Framer), Anti-town":

There was a link in his lynch information that quite clearly stated him as mafia. I don't get why you're trying to bring the cult into this. I'll even leave the link in the quote below so you can check it for yourself.

End votes for day 2:

Korialstraz(1): [Caluin Graye], Valharous
Ankeli(1): Sathorsis
Flubbucket(3): Koral, [Loz], Gwahuir
Autti(10): Flubbucket, Ankeli, FoE, Kegs, goryani, CG, Loz, Pyro, Coju, Bad Ash

Autti has been lynched he was Dark Psion (tailor/Framer) - Anti-town

Now, the list of people who I'd peg suspicious based on their actions during the last 2 days, and the lynch behaviour on Autti, in no order: Val, Korialstraz, Loz, Ba. I'm sort of excluding Sathoris for being Sathoris, which might end up biting me in the butt but whatever.

I might as well come entirely out with my role now, since I doubt I'll be around much longer. I am the Necromage. Every night I get the powers of the deceased (day and night) as a one shot ability if they were permanent on their original user. If they had an x-shot ability, I get the ability but with no charges. So for example after the night when Asrrin and Solar Ice died, I got a 1 time night kill ability, and a 1 time bus driver ability. I may only use one power per night.

Last night I tried to kill Korialstraz, trusting the doctor would attempt to save me, but alas I was blocked. I didn't end up using the charge, so I'm still good for a kill / busdriver switch or a framing (Autti's role). The framing is obviously useless, and the busdriver I was going to use to save myself. If the doc protects me tonight, I can be around for 2 more day phases.

So, back on the suspects. Even though I tried to kill Korialstraz, I feel stronger about BA. If it weren't for his "kill me now" comment at the end of the last day phase, I would've attempted to NK him. I can still try to NK Korialstraz over the next night phase (unless you come up with something smarter), and lay my vote on BA.

Vote: Bad Ash

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

He seems off to me. No other reason. Just a suspicion out of his posts. I can't prove anything.

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Oh, and not getting another NK from Autti actually sort of means that the night killer out of the Solar Ice / Asrrin duo was propably vigilante and not anti-town. :/

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Ok then. I must had missed your claim, but you have multiple powers? Or were you saying you can live longer if you get bussed and the doc saves you?

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Can't say the fact that flubb is my top suspect has changed, I still find him suspicious.

I voted for the same person both days who turned up mafia, clearly I'm the suspicious character!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Any reason to believe he was vigi and not SK? Both seems equally likely to me.

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

True. A Sk escaped my mind. As far as the mafia numbers are concerned it is irrelevant though.

And in case it's unclear, yes Coju, I have multiple powers at the moment. I started with none, and I'm standing with a night kill, a bus drive and a framing now. A single one of each. After I use it, it's gone.

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Aww @glib :loving:

Looking back to see who claimed cop, I realized I've missed a parts of the game... Not having a laptop to look on and take notes with really puts a damper on things. And having a phone that the internet connection blips in and out of existence isn't fun.
