Any dual element sorc that has a strong emphasis on Fire will do alright. The problem is that CM is almost useless (-3% res per level, starting at 5%), so Orb won't do much damage. Lightning's just as limited by synergies as the final 1.10 version though, so Cold is probably still the best choice. Nova might be alright, but without very good items I'd have thought the damage would be too low.

@Colony: can a sorc from previous versions get bugged Andy quest drop in 1.10 beta (or in any 1.10+ version assuming quest bug is the same for them all)?

Edit@below: seems the same to me, but I also don`t know. Its just that Fabian mantioned rushing in 1.07, but he probably meant rushing only untill Hell. Anyone else has an idea?

I don't know. I wouldn't have thought so, as the quest drops were only introduced in 1.10, so if a character had already finished the quest then the game would've recorded that and you'd just get normal drops. I'm not sure about this though.

As usual, I play single pass hardcore. So when I decided to make another daggermancer, I was pleasantly surprised when the unique [highlight]Gull dagger[/highlight] dropped in the first level of the jail. While the magic find is an asset for any character, the daggermancer is just about the only build I can quickly think of that can actually make use of the thing as a weapon.
I doubt it's any use to list the stats on the thing, because I'm pretty sure most of you know the most important one by heart.

I wondered about this, and so I tested it before I made my 1.10a sorc many months ago.

My results were that even though I had completed hell in 1.07 with my rushed character I was still able to get bugged quest drops from Andariel when I moved forwards to 1.10a.

I was having short break from my beta CTA project and decided to blow the few pgems I had left in my stashes to reroll the baal charm I got ~week ago. I got Vita suffix twice with wrong prefixes, but the LAST 3 pgems gave result that I'm more than satisfied with, even though it wasn't +41 one:

Collected my first 1.07 HF rush set in quite a while, with slightly above average results (value wise, in terms of number of "good" runes, it was way above average. No Gul though). Only 6 rushees, as the seventh was left behind in 1.07 to become a future character there (or more likely in 1.09).
