Normal Diablo gives Umes but it will not give it easy. You will get faster Gravenspine.
Rush normal Mephisto and his durance for Chance Guards, Tarnhelm and 2 x Nalgerings, normal Diablo for Goldwrap. There is also a set kite shield that gives 20% magic find. The rare boots, the rare amulet and the armour (Sparkling mail works fine) should give you enough fire/cold/lighning resist to rush normal Diablo. Better rush Mephisto until level 33-35, Diablo is hard to hit. If you use a fighter get a big damage weapon or a very fast weapon. The big damage will hit seldom but hard, the fast one will do lower damage but it will hit alot. But I think that you want Ume for a Necromancer so the atack rating is no problem.

For single player only I can give you for free via ATMA Umes, I found at least two of them.
