d2 item manager

Hi,

few accounts, a lot of characters, a lot of stuff.. I was looking for easy-to-use item manager that helps me to track my inventory. I can't find anything that suites my needs, so I have started developping my own tool. It's open source project available here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/d2itemmanager/

I ask you for some suggestions and opinions. Maybe there is some other, better tool? How can I improve this one? Maybe Java isn't the best platfrom choice? Should I give up this project, or continue?

Please, give me some hints about it.

How exactly do you intend the Add Item window to work? You need an extremely easy and fast method for this since it will be used constantly.

Java is a fine medium for this, as it is cross-platform.

Your idea is good but many runewords and other items have different stats and one want to keep them seperated and know where they are at since many times you dont keep the same gear with different stats on the same person. Thats the biggest drawback I see with such a program that your working on but otherwise a good idea.

Kijya has a similar project. I haven't looked at it in a while, but I expect that it's pretty polished by now.
