- Act One, near the Monastery. The Sorceress, wearing chain mail and wielding a spear and therefore looking something like the Amazon, running while casting the spell Blaze. You can see how the spell grows from a trail on the ground to a high wall of fire. The damage and duration of this spell will of course increase at higher levels. One of the Corrupted Rogues is engulfed in the flames a few steps behind the Sorceress, and possibly just expiring, hence the puff of orange gas around her. -- 3dfx enhanced shot, 11/98"
Looking at this now, I can't really say where it is. We used to try to locate every shot in Act One, not really knowing how the Act was configured, in terms of surface areas leading to the Monastery and then to the Cathedral. Like most of the early screenshots, Bliz released this one with the belt cropped off. -- December 16, 2001.
