Yeah but everything we used to confirm town included them. Maybe it's just because I hate cults because there's very little you can do to find them.

That's the problem with mechanic-heavy games, people focus on analyzing the game set-up instead of analyzing other player's posts.

Same reason I was so frustrated from the town's decision to follow Ivan's "investigation" of me even though everything in-game should've lead them the other way.

The cult almost lost due to those binoculars. If Ivan would have told everyone he passed the binoculars and Zarniwoop would have said he received them, bang, double confirmation.

Thing is posts of the cult aren't really good for finding them either. They basicly have the same goal as the town and you have no idea when in the game some people got recruited.

It's always shooting in the dark and hope to get lucky.

I'd say we did have a chance, both KI and zarni where under suspicion after all. While I'd like to single out a few specific things that lead to our loss, I think I should refrain from doing so ... after all there's plenty of things that could just as well have swung the win our way.

Edit: Ah scrap that, binocular dual confirmation on zarni and KI would have screwed us up 100%, the town should have had no chance. That should have been the logical thing to do after I went on and on about using items to confirm town. Unless of course I had realized the potential for a recruiting power ....

The only thing I disliked about this game was the fact that it was WAY too confusing.

The only reason the town lost was 5 people got modkilled.

Five people and we still came down to the wire.

The cult would have been toasted otherwise.

Also, Bad Ash should have been lynched in the last day. For some reason he didn't send me a PM to scavenge for food and I thought someone would pick up that no food was found and lynch him ("you've been recruited and that's why you can't use your powers anymore")

I bit the dust early on, but I read everything through to completion. There were quite a few different mistakes both I and others made that contributed to one twisted game. I got really hung up on key words in PMs, that apparently proved for everyone else to be useful, but got me killed. I was a stranded soldier, and I got the soldier role PM which spelled out plainly what both the scavenger and scout could and could not do. So when people started claiming they could do things not spelled out like I saw, I got REALLY suspicious.

Gorny did an amazing job of staying low right up until he switched his softclaim. Had he kept up with his soldier bit he could have survived longer. It turns out we were soldier heavy.

No way I saw a cult even until the end, I thought there was a survivor or other weird win condition, possibly a zombie infector/infiltrator, or something.

Thanks to TC for putting in a huge amount of effort into this. :)

As always the game was more interesting once I'd died. :rolleyes:

My only suggestions would be:
- no 3 day days, it's far too long
- find a way of wrapping it up quicker to avoid the 'chugging along' that goes on the last few days.

I want to say a public 'thank you' to those who were willing to allow me to live after I killed myself. It was a generous gesture of you all. :)

Although I'd probably have been accused of being a zombie then for rising from the dead! :D

I wasn't aware of a cult either...not till all of us mafia were dead and Feysal said it in our private chat.

Also, we knew it was a only a matter of time until someone found us out, as I wasn't the hit man and noodle was and was still alive, I was more expendable then him.

I hate cults, they are near impossible to catch especially since roles aren't known beforehand. Even if you find out their existance through role reveal or logical deduction, all previous scumhunting effort is thrown out the window and the game is reduced to a guessing game. :yuck:

Good game all - I avoided that incase I got lumped in with Zarniwoop. I only got culted at the end lol

I had to be careful of Asrrin because if he finds even one flaw, he will lock onto it like a pitbull that does not let go.

Do I really scare you that bad Gorny? :silly:

GG Cult, nice game TC, sorry things got snippy there in the middle. Game was long and lots of people (myself included) had RL things thats were causing problems (hence the snippy parts) and I apologize. It was fun though.

Seems I will never figure ZY out, man we shoulda jumped on KI when his anti-town read turned up pro-town haha.
