You cannot complete this game.

I have had this happen twice today. First time I was in a normal game that I created with password, no other characters came in and I never left. I got the quest to pop up to kill Baal's minions, then after I finished the minions the quest button popped up and said could not complete.

Now, I am in a nightmare game alone with password, got through act 1 and all the way to the canyon and quest button pops up saying cannot complete.

I am gonna create new game to finish, but just wondering if anyone had any insight as to why this keeps happening.

Sorry if this should be in bug reports, wasn't sure.

Need more info....

Did you trigger the Baal quest by entering the WSK? Or do you mean you were out doing something else and the quest just came up on its own? What level were you? Did you create the game with the char that couldnt complete, or did you start with a different char and then bring the other one in? Which quest cant you complete in A2, and at what point did it say you couldnt complete it?

Sorry for the lack of info, I was in a hurry. I knew better than to be so vague.

So let's see. I created both the normal and nightmare games with the character that needed the quests. Never left the games and no one else came in the games.

For the normal baal game, I triggered the the quest by entering the WSK and it said "Kill baal's minions." After I killed all of the minions and baal went in the throne the quest button popped back up and said could not complete before I entered the throne room.

For the nightmare game i got through act 1 no problems and all the way to the canyon with the completed staff. The cannot complete popped up after I entered portal from arcane to canyon.

As far as what levels I was, I think I was level 49 for the normal game and about 52 or 53 for the nightmare game when this happened.

I kind of think it was just a freak occurrence and it wasn't a big deal. I was/am just looking to get some opinions from others.
