I think i'm missing out on something

So fade gives 1% dr per level, the max level is 20 (plus levels from +skill items and charms etc.)

i was looking at the reccomended gear setup and the only dr i saw was 8% on enigma, does this mean you have to get your fade up to level 42 to reach the 50% dr?

sorry im new to the game and i'm sure there's something i'm missing out on

the lvl42 is 20 fade base and +22 from equipment, i.e. shadow skills + all skills together

That's if you don't want the 9x Shad GC for insane Fade ^^

yeah I used to play in 1.09 and getting ur + skills up to 42 wasn't really normal, but I can see with the anni, ft, and barbian skills

plus the diff runewords getting your stats up to +42 is more of a reality, atm I have **** gear and my stats are already pretty high

Why don't you get a stronger venom? More facets, and better pre-buffs. If you use:

3 shadow circlet with 2 poison facets (or 3 facet helm, don't know which is best)
3 shadow ammy
Bramble
2x +3 shadow +3 venom claws with 2 poison facets each (or maybe 6 facet phase blade and 4 facet monarch)
Arachs
Trangs
2x Soj
Shadow dancers
9 shadow skillers
torch
anni

That will give quite a good venom, won't it? And then more facets on your dueling equipment, wouldn't that be better?

Why don't you get a stronger venom? More facets, and better pre-buffs. If you use:

because people won't wait for you to buff venom every time you duel. if you're lucky enough to find someone that will wait for you, then more power to you, but perbuffing is far from necessary.

you can get a barb to BO and an enchantress as well while youre buffing, or even place fana and oak supporters at the entrance :pancake:


ok seriously prebuffing is lame and not necessary. if you need it to win you need more practise. if you want to use it in pubs for faster pks feel free to do so

So basically, there is no viable way to reach the 9 frame Trap breakpoint using any of the heavier claws, without glitching your AWSM?

That's something I'm likely to forget doing, and seems like too much of a hassle to do it everytime i rebuff BO. I had planned on using Suwayyah Chaos + Feral Claw Fury.. but that'd give me -15. Which isn't even on your chart as a viable setup. (I can see why, anything above 60 is already hard enough to get. Fury 40%+Highlords+Helm Jewel is the only way I see to break 60 at all).

So with what I just said in mind, my only viable option is a combination of Runic/Feral Claws? That's pretty disappointing considering theyre the two weakest, so I'm hoping I'm mistaken?

And if im not mistaken, would a 10 frame trap be the end of the world? And does anybody have a chart for those BPs?

[edit] Oh, and in your setup I dont see how you hit that FHR breakpoint. Im sure its somewhere in these 60 pages but i cant find it. I only see 20 FHR from the boots, where do the other 28% come from?

yea, you need to WSM bug to use heavier claws. that's why most physical ghosts will WSM bug. suwayyah + feral is a great setup for a physical ghost, since it bugs to -30 WSM (42 ias bp), which can be easily reached with highlords + fury.

WSM bugging doesn't take that long. you can see my WSM bug before my duels in the second necro video in the guide. it becomes part of your pre-duel routine and you sort of form a habit, so i don't really have to think about it anymore.

10 frame traps isn't the end of the world, but for simply double clicking on your claw, i don't think its a compromise you need to make.

as for the claws being the weakest, remember that with 9 shadow gcs, most of your damage will come from poison/ow, so you'll still do very good damage with them.

Im thinking of making a Ghost but i dont know if i can afford it. I think i can trade to the equipment but getting the charms will be very hard. Is it possible to use plain 20 lifers instead of 3/20/20's? (Will i be able to stand a chance versus a strong opponent?)

20 lifers will be fine. you should try and build for the 9 shadow gc setup, so that you can minimize the effects of skimping on those 3/20/20s.

Could you maybe make a video showing it? It would be ALOT easier and you wouldnt get anymore questions about it :P

Hey Tienje,quick question.where are you getting 62% FCR? A Sin circlet with 20%,Trangs gloves has 20%,and Arachnids Mesh has 20%,thats 60%.I would hate to have to use a FCR ring just for the extra 2% when i could be using a ring with Dex and AR.
Will 2% FCR really make much of a difference?

the bp is 65% fcr, and FCR is a step function, so if you don't hit 65% fcr, it'll be like you're at 42% fcr.
