wsm bugging

Ok, so I'm still unsure on how all the aspects of this works. When I say all the aspects I mean:

How I make sure my fools claw is still providing attack rating.

In the case of fools + chaos, which of these claws must be the faster base to bug and still have +attack rating? (my assumption is fast fools / slow chaos is the only way this works, am I wrong?)

Would bugging two GTs give faster speed than -30, or it stays the same as if I didn't do anything?

Does weapon switching for BO stops the bug?

What is the process itself step by step? (also assume fools gt + chaos suwaya, which side should each claw start, and what do I do every time I bug?)

I assume theres a thread that answers any and all questions around this, can someone link me? If this thread exists that answers these, it should be sticked I can tell you that right now.

You assume right :)

Stays the same.

Yes.

It's actually pretty simple.

1. Chaos, the slow claw (like a Suwayyah) goes over the gloves.
2. A Fast, fools claw (like a GT) goes over the boots.
3. Whenever joining a game, or swapping from CTA, lift and replace the Chaos over the gloves.
4. Done.

The WW Ghost Assassin Guide at the top has this info, along with a table to help find WSM if bugging, and the required IAS from that WSM.

Re: wsm bugging

T_T

Up until this point I thought fools -had- to be gloveside, and suwwaya -had- to be boot side, and I was completely wrong.

I also thought the process of glitching involved more than just one click and drop.. I was confusing myself and making it harder than it had to be.

In the end a suwaya + runic setup yields faster WSM than 2 runics possibly could then? That's pretty good to know =p

ty for the response, I hate being unclear on things like this.

Re: wsm bugging

Well, in terms of absolutes, it doesn't need to be there. I'll explain:

By default, the gloves are the "primary" claw, and boots likewise are treated as Secondary. To get a fool's effect, it has to be Primary. This leads to the conclusion that it must be over gloves. If not WSM bugging, this is 100% correct. :)

WSM bugging, however, changes what is primary and secondary; in fact, they swap, hence slow chaos on what would otherwise be primary, and fast fools on what would be secondary.

Swapping the primary and secondary is but one effect. It also changes the equation used to find WSM. Details and the equation itself are in the link provided, but the way it changes leads to an increase in speed (by lowering the resulting WSM).

A common example; Suwayyah + Runic.

Normal WSM = -15 (average of 0 and -30, respectively)

Bugged = -45 ((just off the top of my head, forgive me if the equation isn't exact ^^;;) average + (-30 right - 0 left))

Normal Runic = -30, and bugging 2x runics = -30.

-30 requires 42% IAS, and -45? Only 19.
