Why you shouldn't use a wireless mouse to play...

My mouse suddenly stopped working due to low battery when baal's 4th wave of minions was charging towards me, the result: 300 baal runs wasted:cry:

Ouch. That must suck. What level were you?
You couldn't save/exit in time?

LOL, that's funny. I mean, sorry.

In fact, the death only cost 75 runs (at lvl97) if I could get the body back, but a 1-second-too-late Alt-F4 cost the rest 225 runs...
Edit: and the game has a really wicked sense of humor. The next game I created after the death, I've got 4 soj sold to merchant messages so far (Don't ask for the server IP though, 'coz I can't tell from a VPN).

Erm, during that time, press esc, up(or was it down?), and enter...

Fastest way possible out of a game.

alt-f4 is faster.

I use a wireless mouse, but never had that kind of a problem.

Although.. When I was still playing HC on Ladder Season 1, I was doing some chaos runs friday evening. Who knew this was the time when Norton Antivirus did its check.. Slowed down the game at first, alt-tabbed me to the desktop. Back to the game - necro lvl ~90 dead =)

Wrong, you should blame Ash, always blame Ash.

You know what I'm about to say, so there's really no need for me to actually say it.

You probably use a rechargeable one.

I'm using a cordless mouse+keyboard. The keyboard needs batteries less than once per year. For the mouse I use NiMH accumulators. They last for 3-4 weeks, then I recharge them. I'm sure I had more mouse cable problems of the "DOWN, go DOWN, $%&#* mouse !!!!" kind than I have battery problems now. It's also an optical mouse, so no more "MOVE, $%&#* mouse cursor !!!!" problems as well. The ball and rollers got messy quite quickly from hairs, boogers, chocolate, partly dried beer and whatever else ends up on my desk.
