Why do you play Single Player?

Re: Why do you play Single Player?

Actually the rogue class in WoW is a melee based class though most rogue players will get a gun to use.

'Rogue' in the Baldur´s Gate games is a term that groups the character classes Bard and Thief (and their respective subclasses) together.

In Nethack, one of the 13 classes (but classes are called 'roles' in that game) is called Rogue. It plays out a bit like a thief. Good at throwing daggers, using lockpicks, etc. They can also become Expert at dual-wielding weapons.

Re: Why do you play Single Player?

I play only Single Player Diablo 2 Classic 1.09 because the battlenet does not allow 1.09 play. Also I like to keep under control my game, I cannot be sure about the internet conection/Blizzard servers.

Re: Why do you play Single Player?

coz its better than online game..no lag and else..and 10-20 years later you still gonna have your savegame files in your hand..not on blizzards server..so whenever you want you can show it to your friends and play even offline

Re: Why do you play Single Player?

I play SP because I had to upgrade my OS to Snow Leopard (10.6).

A bonus of the upgrade is that OpenGL rendering finally works; Apple's previous OpenGL engine was extremely buggy and didn't work at all with D2LoD.

But a problem with the upgrade is that Diablo II will often suffer tremendous lag (about 75 seconds!) whenever I enter a town portal or waypoint to return to the Rogue Camp in Act I. I'm not sure if there's a garbage collection routine that gets invoked, or whether the code that repopulates the vendors' inventories is slowed to a crawl by some system code that Apple updated in their new OS. Whatever the cause, it makes Battle.net disconnect every time it happens.
