What's the best fate for these shields?

- Sacred Targe (etheral, 22xdef, 5xed, 10xar)
- Protector Shield (4soc, 44all resist, 133def)
any idea?

i personally wouldnt use them to make anything.

very wrong. the 44 all res shield is perfect for an anti FoH shield. Stick 4 Ptopazes in it. If not sell to me on WSCL.

The Protector shield is perfect for a spirt: it has decent block (should have 75 with HS), vey low str requirements(69!!!) and decent defense. Definately a one of the best pala shield for a spirit!!!


You could make an exile out of the Sacred Targe, but personally i think you can get shields with better stats on it 60%ed +.


But the first one is very usefull, if you are on ladder that is

disgree for your exile example. exile should only be made from ethereal shields. one day i found a VERY nice kurast with 45 resist, 4 sockets. i made it into exile, which i used for about 6 weeks, then decided i wanted to trade it.

45 resist or not, no one wants it period, and now its gathering dust in my stash.

I said exile was a possibility for the eth sacred Targe, not the kurast shield, and also said, that it wasn't the best shield for it either. Next time read more carefully plz.

The protector shield is almost a perfect Spirit for a hammerdin vs caster.

If that shield is on ladder no doubt make a spirit out of it.

Generally, for Phoenix, ED/AR Automods are preferred on the shield instead of resists, in order to supplement the already high Ehnanced Damage mod. Although putting Phoenix into a resist shield would make it a bit more balance... either way, I'd suggest Spirit if you're Ladder but judging from GodObelisk's post, I don't think you are. As far as NL goes, there's nothing particularly good to make out of that in terms of Runewords, but for a resist stacking shield, like 4x PDiamond or 4x PTopaz, it'd be great.

For me even if its an exile which i am not using, i still would not clear it. Cos an exile regardless of the shield/status is still an exile. Its juz the resale value which changes
