This gets 12 BO from a 1 BO CtA, for 145 seconds, and at best 17 BO, for 195 seconds. So the unique setup with the worst CtA gets the same BO as the tal setup with the best CtA.

It isn't enough to make me give up tal's on my blizz/nova sorc, 'cause the balance of life/resists/skills/MF is just too good - but I think about it all the time when I'm re-casting BO.

Good catch magictriangle, I wasn't aware of this.

Now when I'm reminded, a guy I was playing with accused my BO of being weak, which I found to be rubbish since my sorcs CtA is perfect (+6 BO), I got this CtA in a trade because I didn't have the patience for rolling a perfect one myself, (especially not with my terrible luck) but I realize now that my BO was weak because of the fact that I was using it together with tals setup.

Actually I am going to test my +6 BO CtA right now with my uniques build (maras,griffons,arach,sojs,spirit,etc.) to see what the difference is in terms of life/mana but also duration. Still, good catch. Also I agree with what you said about the balance of life/resists/skills/MF being good on Full-tals, I love this set.

Got a 38 res all eth kurast. Ebugged to 4os. Resists are a little low to be worth a lot, but it has been a while since I played a smiter (done kickers for my dclone/uber killer the last couple ladders), think I might make myself an exile and give it a whirl again.

Alternately, are there any other fun builds that use exile? Could do 1h vengeance, but I'm not sure I fancy that. Even with ebotd zerker the kill speed leaves something to be desired.

My softcore group just got a 20/20/6 anni, right after we beat baal for the first time. :)

Gonna sell it and split the runes.
