What to socket Windforce with?
I’m looking at using “KremBanan's Guide to Amazon using Windforce with RogueFaith†for running Chaos Sanctuary and “D†in multiplayer games. Mostly looking for runes and gems plus I’ll probably glitch “D†for a while to get the “first kill dropâ€. However, I value looks over optimum gear so I’m looking at Fortitude in a Wire Fleece vs. the typical Archon Plate and Tiara/Diadem over Andy’s ugly mask. Plus I value resists for a glass cannon (zero vitality build) with the lag on battlenet and don’t want to fill up inventory with resist charms.
Since 2 frame strafe doesn’t exist and I’m not sure if the 7 FPA works correctly on the realm I’m looking at going for a 8/3 for a primary strafe attack with multishot for the long open areas. That makes the important IAS breakpoints 50 with level 15 fana when the merc is around, 95 IAS for 7/3, or 90 IAS for a 9/3 if the merc aura isn’t available.
The 50 IAS option is Kira’s Guardian (open socket), Windforce (base 20 IAS / open socket), LOH gloves (20 IAS), Nosferatu's Coil (10 IAS). The 95 IAS option is to replace Kira’s with a 3 socket Diadem with two IAS/LR jewels and one IAS/CR plus a few resist charms.
Question for those that have played with a RougeFaith merc. How good is she at keeping up especially in the Chaos Sanctuary which is mostly open?
Now for the main question since both builds have a open socket in the Windforce. What’s the best socket option leaving out the option of multiple Windforces with different sockets?
My thoughts were ED/Damage jewel, Cham to freeze target, Jah to ignore target defense, Ber 20% crushing blow to add with Goreriders, Sur for hit blinds target, Lo for 20% deadly strike to add with Goreriders, Pul for 75% damage to demons, Eth for -25% target defense, Dol for 25% hit causes monster to flee, or something else.
On a side note I’ve been using the Face of Horror for leveling for the strength boost till I can use torch / annihilus and the 50% hit causes monsters to flee is pretty useful at keeping larger mobs from overrunning me with my current low damage bow and no knockback. Windforce damage and knockback should change that.
