What happened to Meph glitching?
What up everyone, it's been awhile!
I've just started playing Diablo 2 again. I've been playing it since around the time it's come out but I'd never played the expansion before, so it's been a bit of a change -- over a year since I last played and a bunch of new things in the game.
I've been playing for the last few weeks and I've been having a lot of fun. I've got a level 70 Wind Druid that I built off my first character, my level 60 Meteorb Sorc who I've been using to Meph glitch in NM. Most people who I talk to on Battle.net don't even know what that is (joining a game with the quest already done and then killing Meph, getting quest drops - rinse & repeat) which is wild compared to Classic where you'd have to race other sorc's.
It's been going pretty smoothly but I feel like I'm missing out on the higher end items that are found only in Hell. I'm going to get the Druid there eventually but I've heard he is much, much less effective in Hell. I've thought about leveling my sorc up and then trying to Meph glitch in Hell, but she's fairly weak res wise and I don't know if that's even possible with a decked out Sorc.
I have noticed though that my drops from other bosses, like Andy are pretty damn good, even after doing the Quest. I have a fair bit of MF gear on my Sorc but it's still a lot better than I remember in Classic. Am I just crazy here or is that the reason folks don't Meph glitch in the Expansion? Am I wasting my time by doing this?
