Wand Crafting question

Can I get +2 to necromancer skill if i craft a caster elite wand with low ilvl using low level character? I want that add to summoning skill and +2 to necromancer skill if possible.

If you're after +2 necro and +3 summoning on a crafted wand you'll need a base wand with an item level of 79.5 or more. For a low level character this will only be possible on wands with a quality level of 79.5 or more which means unearthed wands are the only wands that would work. For a +2 with +2 summing crafted wand lich wands would work as well but no other wand will get a +2 necromancer crafted onto it with a low level character because the qlvls are all too low.

Wait, its possible to get +2 skills AND +3 summoning? Why the hell am I resorting to leorics :O???

No, I meant +2 necro +3 tree but i was wrong. On a crafted item the maximum would be +2 necro +2 tree for which both a lich wand or an unearthed wand would work. I've got to start rechecking the color coding on the affixes pages.

even so, a +2 necro skills +2 summoning skills still seems like a pretty awesome wand o_O

You could also try leveling a bit more if that wasn't clear from what people have been saying. You'll have much more options in terms of wands if your level is a bit higher.
+2nec/+2pnb would be such a nice wand with like 20fcr/life/mana/stat

Emm, sorry for noob question, but how do you tell which affix from which tree? Actually my original question is whether +2 necro can spawn with +staffmod, but if it can spawn with +tree, its even better.

crafted items don't follow all of the same rules as magicals and rares. the limit of 3 prefixes or suffixes on rares, for example, does not apply to crafted items. what makes you so sure this affix grouping rule applies?

To prove the grouping rule exists for crafted items:
- Using the affix calculator, if you click two affixes from the same group, it allows it because it's assuming you're okay with either one and calculates the probability of getting either one, not because you can have both. Thus, the % never goes LOWER, but HIGHER instead.
- Ask krischan/Orphan/onderduiker for confirmation.
- Check out crafting guides; they should have this mentioned.
- For quick evidence: look up threads that ask for maximum %ED on a weapon. The answer is consistently: 450% + 60% + 100% on a crafted weapon, rather than say, 650% + 60% + 50%, which would be the case if multiple affixes from the same group could spawn.

i didn't think the fact that multiple affixes that are the same i.e. +1 all skills and +2 all skills or different amounts of ED cannot spawn together proves that multiple affixes that are in the same group i.e. all skills and group skill

however i must concede that the noticeable absence of equipment of that kind in the crafted item show off thread is proof enough for me that they cannot. if someone had a crafted wand with +2 all, +2 tree, and some sweet oskills they'd have posted it and given the history of the thread and our propensity to brag the absence is strong evidence against such an item. i guess that's why people make white wands.

A plus skill wand could be helpful but a gg serpent lord staff could be double upgraded to give a maximum damage of about 130!!!!!

It isn't possible to have +Necro and +skill tab on the same item. You can have +tab, +individual skill (for example, +3 Summmoning and +3 Raise Skeleton).
