Uber smiter question

I have a hammerdin and I'd like to be able to do Ubers, with a freind who uses a meteorb sorc, i believe whichever one is cold/fire. Anyway I understand that i need to use smite, what i dont understand is what effect it will have. I have a point in smite and i use a hoz and the damage is minimal. Is there certain synergies or auras that I need to do more damage?


Also i understand that crushing blow is an important factor. Do i need a certain shield to trigger crushing blow?


Also whats good gear that has life leach, or stop monster rejuv?

Smite is uninterruptable and it ignores defense, which makes it superior to every other melee attack there is when fighting ubers. U dont need a certain shield to trigger crushing blow, and to stop monter from healing, get the mod "prevent monsters heal". The life leech source ur gonna get while using smite is life tap so grab a pair of dracul's.

Forget about prevent monster heal since ubers ignore that. Dracs have open wounds, which does that, and more though.

Life leech doesn't work with Smite. You need something to cast lifetap, Dracs work but the % chance is low. I would recommend using the runeword Last Wish or using an Exile shield in addition to Dracs (OR get someone to cast lifetap using a wand with lifetap charges or have a necro do it)

What type of gear is last wish? I was trying to look it up and I can't find it, also what is the recipe.

Ok so last wish has a 60-70% chance of crushing blow. Do i need to have some gear that gives me that, or is there a chance it will trigger if I am just smiting?

You should try to do a little bit of the work your self before asking such simple questions. There are many guides availible that give all the info you need about this topic.
