Uber Smiter: Giant Skull vs Harlequin Crest

Errrm...i hv a question......which does more damage?

1. Giant Skull socketed with 2x 15/40 jewels?
2. Shako socketed with 15/40 jewel?

Rest of equipment remains unchanged.

When I put on Shako (with 15/40 jewel) the stats on the character screen shows that the smite damage is slightly higher. Maybe becuz of +2 to smite and +2 to fanaticism??

Any expert smiter can comment on this?

What more could you possibly ask for? Put an um in it, and you're rolling.
By the way, the 15% deadly strike will probaly increase your dmg by way more than 2x40/15 jewels - The extra CB will speed up the whole process.

1. 68% CB Last Wish
2. Goreriders
3. COH
4. Mara's
5. Ravenfrost
6. SOJ
7. Verdungo
8. Dracul's Grasp

68%+15% = 83% I dun need any more CB. Now it's the question of the helm.
I tested both helms but there seems to be no difference.....

Any expert smiter can comment on this? Thanks in advance

all uber smiters use guillames... seriously... reasons:
1. its cheap
2. crushing blow against ubers = remove 1/10 of life (10000 dmg or something ^^)
3. cool other stats
4. they all use grief so damage isnt as necessary cos grief adds loads

Use Kira's Guardian, if you don't need anymore CB. Then you should practically be able to run fanaticism on vs even Mephy.

I have a smiter lvl81 but I know just an iota above nothing. I have Fort, 2x Raven (looking to buy a BK w/ one of my SoJs), Exile, Grief, and Seraphs along with Goblin Toe (haha I know, alos looking to get some gores) Laying of Hands and Arach. I don't know what to use for the Helm.

Guillame's, at the moment, has my vote. I had forgotten about the additional Deadly Strike mod. My original thought was a 20s Gskull w/ Um and a 40-15, although Ansuz was correct in the Dstrike and CB far outweighing the damage potential of a 40-15. So for ubers, I'll use Guillame's. My only question is what should I socket it with; Um or 40-15?

On a side note, what helm should I use for casual play/mfing and whatnot? Would Guillame's suffice sufficiently here as well?

Deadly strike does not, I repeat, does not work with smiter.

And when should I turn fanaticism aura off when dealing with Meph?
I was doing a 1 vs 3 in the middle of Uber Tristram. The life tap kept me alive.

Just wanna know if Giant Skull (with x2 15/40) or Shako (with x1 15/40) will kill faster. I am taking 3 min 20 secs atm to complete uber trist and I am trying to brg down the killing time.

They really are right, taking your deadly strike from 83 - 100% will increase the killing time more than either of those helms. For that reason guillames really is your best choice. However, between the two you listed I'd certainly choose giant skull
