Trapsin claw usage

Building my first Sin, using the jrichard build guide, SP.

I have read the FAQ, and done a search, but still have these questions:

jrichard says to shop Anya for Cunning Greater Talons with +3 traps, and plusses to traps you want (in my case, LS). Well, I've invested 7 hours and found:
+3 Martial Arts: 5
+3 Shadow Disciplines: 2
+3 Traps, no plusses to traps: 2
+2 Assasin skills: 5
It appears that my +3 traps/+3 LS will be very hard to come by, so in the meantime I could use some shopping advice on what to purchase and use.

1. I probably won't play a Martial Arts build because I'm not very swift at assigning and using hotkeys. That said, should I buy them anyway because someone else might want them, and I might be able to trade them? Or do Martial Arts players use something else?

2. At the moment (level 48, Act 1 Nightmare) I'm using the +2 Assasin skill claws because, even though it's less for my traps than using the +3 traps, I get a boost across the board, including for my level 8 Shadow Master. I plan to use them until my Shadow Master has enough points to manage on her own. Does that seem like a good strategy?

3. Does anyone EVER use the +3 Shadow Discipline claws? Maybe on switch?

Appreciate any thoughts you might have.

+3 traps/+3 LS means having a lot of patience yes. In fact, I think it will require too much patience. Also, I think +2 assa sk/ +3 LS would be better (requires just as much patience though).

I don't think there is use for +3 MA. They'll be looking for Fool's and IAS mods (WW assa's anyway, and only on greater or runic talons). MA on glves would be good however. +3 shadow claws are great for Fade, BoS and Venom (+6 for almost free, yay!)

While I have never tried this you could consider using your weapon switch as a skill switch if LS is the trap you use most (it probably is). Just keep LS selected on your trap claws and switch to them when needing to lay traps. When your five traps are ready switch back to the +3 shadow claws for better Mind Blast, Weapon Block, Shadow, etc. It could take some getting used to, but should work I think. CoS will buy you enough time.

DC had 2 +3traps/+3ls claws on his 99 trapper.

He spent 50 hours shopping for those. I'd probably prefer +2assa/3ls if I had the choice.
I think you should just settle for whatever you can get your hands on though.
2 x +3 trap claws are more than adequate btw. Ideally you'd want greater talons or simirlarly fast claws, but of course you'd have to find them first.
