trading Lingo?

I dont undertsand trading lingo. like whats HR and whats 6/1 or 69/6 or 51/7 or... well you get the point. Can anyone explain some of these to me?

HR=High Rune
The numbers you mention are, AFAIK, relative to the features of a certain item. For example, Vamp Gaze can have varying numbers for life and mana leech and damage reduction.. so you may see it advertised as "8/8/17 gaze for HR".

Hmm... alright I understand the high runes, but for the numbers... would that be like how Nagelrings vary in mf percentages?

Oh and one other thing... what does iso stand for? i think it means "a list of items a player is looking for" but I'm not so sure.

Thanks,
Anthem

iso means "in search of" or something that means this. It's the stuff the player is looking for.

edit: aww, too late...

You'll have to have a bit knowledge of what mods spawns on what items to have a chance of directly knowing what the a random combination of numbers mean. If someone is offering you a 3/17/19 for example, they assume you know that that is a small charm with +3 max damage, 17 attack rating and 19 life. A 40/15 would be a 40%ed/15%ias jewel etc ... Most items that get such a combination of numbers are expensive and therefore oftenly traded. Less expensive things will not be recognized by just numbers, but might get a small nickname, and then followed by it's stats in numbers. A good example is the vampire gaze previously mentioned.

In the case of that jewel, you will also find that items with such jewels socketed into them also get number ids, 120/45 helm is a helm with 3 of those 40/15.

Note that 40/15's are known dupes. They and items containing them are not allowed to be traded at this site.

if you are on Europe and play ladder you are allowed to trade 40/15 s (etf). They are only on the NL do not trade list

Tp be honest though, the best way to learn all the trading lingo is to just trade and trade, keep playing the game over and over, until you have a general knowledge of everything.

Won't dupers start to dupe 39/15s too?

What I don't get is why they bother to list the AR.

The AR thing or the 39/15 thing?

39/15 would be a jewel with 39% enhanced damage and 15% incresed atack speed :smiley:... or 39% ed, 15% IAS...... no atack rating (AR) here

Yeah, I know - I just didn't know which part of my post he was responding to.
