Apparently my Sigon's boots were from normal monsters, so no gear changes for Enkidu. Stocked up on all of the rejuv potions I had and went looking for the Old men. Enkidu started by doing laps around the Arreat Summit, took three before the ancients split up. Korlic and Madawc followed Enkidu with Talic hanging out somewhere else. I let the ancients dictate who I fought first.
Korlic followed Enkidu while Madawc seemed intent on trying to cut through the pillar, so Korlic became victim number one. He hurt, but not terrible so, only had to go through 8 health potions.
Next up was
Madawc, who kindly stayed right were he was. Since I wasn't in any rush Enkidu remained standing over Korlic's body while Madawc continued to chip away at the stone pillar. All the while the merc chipped away ad Madawc. Ten minutes later there was only one left. Tried to position
Talic so that there wasn't room behind Enkidu to whirl. Was only somewhat successful as Talic kept changing targets from Enkidu to the merc and therefore never stayed put for long. Ran completely out of potions, other than rejuvs but Talic eventually fell, and granted Enkidu another level.
Onward to the World Stone Keep. Going was very slow. Not that the monsters were extremely difficult, but that Enkidu was very paranoid and therefore walked the whole way a few steps at a time. He'd move forward a few steps and then wait a second or two to see what monsters his aura attracted. Made for managable packs instead of being swarmed, especially near the stairs. However he did have to park one
boss that healed faster than Enkidu and his merc could damage it. Level one had Hags, Sirens and Skeleton mages. Slow but steady going. From there level two was similar, it contained mages again, Vampires and Souls. I wasn't actually worried about the Souls since Enkidu has 83% lightning resistance, only a Conviction boss could have hurt him and I didn't encounter such a beast.
This left level 3, which I have no idea what type of monsters were present. The stairs down were literally
right next to the stairs up, so just skipped the whole group (that's probably where the OKs and Dolls were hiding).

The throne level itself contained Snakes, Infidels and Sirens. Not a terrible group, although a pair of bosses gave Enkidu trouble. One was an extra fast, might enhanced snake pack (as if their charge didn't hurt enough already). The other was an extra fast, cursed Infidel pack. Both had to be split up and dealt with 1-2 monsters at a time.
The entire level was cleared so that I had plenty of room to deal with the minion waves. Turns out I didn't need all of the level. Waves 1-2 I lured the minions out of the main chamber to deal with them, then returned to take on the main group. Lots of TPs out after each kill in wave 2 as the poison damage hurt the merc terribly. Waves 3, 4 and 5 were all lured away from Baal and his trigger happy decrepify casting. No major problems.
This left Baal himself, who apparently decided that appendages must
cover the floor at all times, since they did. This made for an interesting time as those appendages would cut off Enkidu's retreat more often than not, so he had to be very careful when getting close to Baal. More than once he was completely surrounded and pinned by those blasted things, and always when running low on health potions.
Slowly Enkidu whittled away at Baal's life. Although it took fifteen minutes to get him down to
half. Whenever the clone made an appearance, which was often, Enkidu would TP back to restock on potions and repair his weapon before returning. Normally the clone would be gone by then and the fight would continue. And continue it did, even using Holy Shock with it's higher average damage output it took forever to get Baal down to a sliver. Switched on the MF boots and took one last swing before picking up
my loot. :strong:

Now I did skip Nihlathak and his waypoint so I may go back for those. I just haven't decided if I want to risk it yet. Maybe if someone gets closer to me I will, but for now Enkidu is resting and cheering on the rest of you.
