Titan questions...

i'm embarking upon my first attempt to build a mighty Titan and have come up with a few questions. the only guide i was able to find concerning this unusual build was designed for v1.09. for 1.10, is whirlwind still the attack of choice? i'm debating about maxing battle orders or possibly battlecry but would like input from those who have experience with both. is berserk worth maxing as well or is 1 point sufficient? concentration appears very attractive on paper but, again, advice from those more experienced than i would be very much appreciated!

I have made 2 Titan barbs and working on Vita-Barbs now but I can tell you WW still is the attack to go with I think for Titans. My first Titan Barb was an IK barb and he owned I just used the 1.09 guide and it worked fine.

The skills I would max out are

Mastery of Choice
Battle Orders
Whirl Wind
Shout

rest in Beserk

My second Titan build used the same basic build but I made him a Spear Barb and even pulled together a RoboPike for him he is my favorite barb now.

anyhow any questions just ask...

thanks for the advice! regarding stat placement...the guide suggested 0 points into vitality? is that a good idea? how about points into skills such as iron skin and natural resistance? after playing him untwinked through act 1, i'm finding the archers to be bothersome (thank goodness for the Bloodfist i found - its life bonus has been very useful) and it seems difficult to come across decent spears to use. i guess i'll just keep plodding away and hope that duriel doesn't eat me for lunch. thanks again for the help.

if you're making a true titan barb, that means you're only sticking points into strength. That means no points into vit. Some people will say that titan barbs are suicide in 1.10, but I have heard reports from people who have had success with them.

The cookie cutter way to distribute your points is:
20 ww
20 bo
20 shout
20 mastery of choice
everything else 1 point wonders

Bo = conc synergy
shout = zerk synergy

both these synergies give huge dmg bonuses to conc and zerk, making it totally unnecessary to put more than one point into them.

I've played titan in 1.10 and it works. I think the way to survive is to get approximately 75+ PDR (Damage Reduced by X) and max Battle Cry instead of Shout. Then, not many normal monsters (in Hell) can damage your barb.

i was jus kinda wondering but how do u plan on doin anything with a titan barb if u dont at least put 100 into vit. i kno it kinda ruins the idea but if u wanted to like do hell rushes would 100 into vit. be enuff or would u hav to do more? see i was thinkin do like a titan barb and for stats put 100 vit. 30 ene. and the rest into strength. then for skills max out ww, bo, shout, mace mastery, and im not quite sure wat else to do so if u hav any idea on how u can hlp me plz do cuz ive never made a barb...thx

:sleep: sleeping_titanX :sleep:

If you are making a Titan barb, all stat points go into strength, nothing else. If you do want to put points elsewhere (e.g. vitality), then you're just making an ordinary WW barb.

If you're going to make a titan barb, everything goes into strength... that's the only way to build a titan. If you don't put all your points into strength, then you're not building a titan. btw, titans will still work with nothing into vit. You just have to learn to use your warcries a little more carefully.

So, either make a titan barb or make a vita barb... follow the build guides for your first barb until you get a basic feel for how barbs work, then go ahead and branch off and try your own thing.

see i was thinkin do like a titan barb and for stats put 100 vit. 30 ene. and the rest into strength.
Here's what I think about putting points into energy on any barb. Quick summary=bad idea.
