Mmm, that's a bit dicy. For the sake of integrity, let us imagine that ATMA was not available. Could you hot mule items? The answer is no. So that is how it shall remain. I remind you though, that if you are running low on inventory space, you can always pick up an extra item on your mouse pointer when you save and exit - this item can be verified via ATMA...that's an extra 8 spaces you can utilise.

Since our last update, a little itty bit of progress was made.

Liselle managed to make it through Act I unscathed. She had an exceptionally easy time, except against the lightning ball spitters. They're not immune to lightning, but they are fairly resistant to it.

Andariel dropped all rares, two of which were decent enough. Polgara got a new orb out of the deal (+3 cold mastery, +1 chain lightning, +25 mana, +23 energy). Mmm... lots of mana....

Zedar started out and managed to kill everything in the pit and Blood Raven. I probably should have been more patient and leveled him up more, but he's still doing okay. Blood Raven was difficult, until I realized I could put her in a giant prison of bone. Bone Prison is a relatively useless skill in normal, but it's really nice in Nightmare.

No exciting uniques in my stash -- the best things are Atma's Scarab and.. er.. the Dark Clan Crusher (since it's an exceptional unique)... once Zedar kills Andariel and the path is unlocked for Polgara to run Mephisto, well, the stash should grow a bit...
 
Here's a tricky question. If I'm playing a necro with the summon tree, and I want to use an iron golem for whatever reason, am I allowed to use uniques/sets for making the golem as long as I haven't muled them off my characters yet?

you don't use the item, you use a spell on a item, it's not prohibited by the rules so you can (to be confirmed by the master)

Made great progress with Sepp. He is now level 31 and uses a level 2 Fanaticism aura. This helped a lot in the Durance of Hate and in Travincal. I did some leveling in all parts of Kurast (Lower, Basar, Upper) and the Tombs before taking on Travincal. Travincal had no usefull items for me. But Mephisto was very generous. He dropped 3 set items but no uniques and a nice new rare armour for Sepp.
On the rune side, I nearly have all runes to make ancients pledge, I even have a nice shield to put it into. In Act IV the first thing I will do is collect enough gems to cube a Prismatic Amulet before entering into the River of Flames.
 
All right, cool. And you can hold items on your cursor when you leave? Weird. I wanted to try it, but I was afraid of losing stuff.

Conqueror Conina - (Assassin – Shadow/Trap) – lvl 75 – Act V NM

Conina finished off Nihilthak and the Cow King in NM. Now she is levelling up and shopping for claws. So far I have one +3 taps claw and 1 +3 shadow claw. I need one more of each before starting hell. My original plan was to get to level 80 before starting hell. With Conina this will take a while but is doable I think. I'm not sure about the others. They were having trouble in Act III and IV on players8 so how they'll handle baals minions I don't know.

I burned a complete stash of pgems cubing a grand charm, hoping for useful skillers. I cubed a skiller with 3x life but it was a warcries :(

Recent finds: A manald heal which Eskarina is contemplating using and an UM rune. I could make up a Crescent Moon and a Lionheart, which would kick *** on my mercs. Currently only Esk is using a quest reward, with a pair of crafted caster gloves. I'm still hoping to find a Skin of the Vipermagi for Mort and Conina.

Actually, without ATMA, you could still copy the character files while holding the item in-game, then later use the copied files to recover and mule that item. But I'm quite happy not to hot-mule for the tournament, just means I'll have to quit and restart the game more often if I start finding bunches of uniques.

btw, has anyone else discovered that if you have an item on cursor, and an active iron golem, your character will freeze in place when you start a game?

Hmm, a very good question, but I do not think so. A Necromancer's Iron Golem is unlike other minions that can be cast, as he has a choice as to what the Iron Golem can "equip", so to speak. An Amazon casting a Valkyrie has no real choice over what gear the Valk will have (the only judgements of gear bonus' are based on the colours). Likewise a Druid cannot give a Bear or Wolves an added, chosen bonus because he cannot craft them out of a chosen weapon with useful stats (like life leech for instance).

Act 1 NM was pretty easy for everyone. Especially surprising was how well Tokugawa handled himself. I've never played a windy before, and haven't every really gotten an elemental druid of any kind far. I suspect he will have the hardest time in hell though, even though he's having the easiest now. All 3 are using their reward slots. Cleo has a heavenly garb, Rasputin is using a crafted safety belt that's very nice, and Tokugawa is using some unique weapon that gives him defense and mana. I'm hoping to find something like a dark clan crusher, and will run meph for one when I get there... not the hardest unique to find.

well that about says it all. three destroyers after Departed kicked Baal around last night. all three chars are now at a sufficient place to begin Nightmare. :flip: Departed is definitely the safest char of the three since he's already got around 700 life with Oak Sage. between OS and my Defiance Merc, my wolves almost never die. i used wolves against Baal for a while, but while leveling to 50 i threw a point into Grizzly. that guy is a tank and a half! with slvl 7 Dire Wolf, the griz has got around 2k life already! he just sat right in front of Baal. anyway, bring on Nightmare! :thumbsup:

Reports: Bone Spear is starting to get really damaging. It does around 300 damage now.I managed to shop a very nice wand with+1 to necromancer skills and +2 to Bone Spear. It was around 200k though. Hellforge gave me a Tir.

Now I have all my chars past Mr.D, lined up at the start of Act V. Hopefully tomorrow I will make atleastone of them Destroyer. The sorc will be the first (Ladies first :lol: )

Well my team moving further, My nec have managed to kill diablo with some problem. Had to go back to the outer steps twice to build up my army again.
My amazon have finished Mephisto, it was rather easy since she reached lvl 30 before the fight, it was just to recast my Valk when it died.

That´s not particularly impressive (a 'Zephyr' Composite Bow owns this one (and should be available around this stage of the game)), but if you can upgrade it to a Double Bow, then it starts to look like something...
 
The rare upgrade recipes are really cool. My brother found a spiked club with a 215% enhanced damage bonus the other day while running Baal. Just by upgrading to a barbed club it became a decent NM weapon, though he will need something else soon.

OK, finally an update. Not much though, as I took Sara through the Den of Evil and up to the Cold Plains waypoint. A couple of minor twinks from Klaudia have made things a little quicker, but it's still quite slow. More progress is expected this weekend.
