'Three Way Dance II' - H.C 1.10 Tournament

My progress doin' slow due busy to university activity. STRONG (conc barb) and STRIKE (ele druid) probably much more difficult to play, i think their survivability is lower than trapsin STROKE. For Strong i'm planning a WW barb using mace, my question is: which is better for ww, dual wield or a 2H weapon, assume both have max dmg as possible (i'm not planning to use shield) + what about range?
Anyway, i didn't find something good but a cleglaw shield.

he's going to be a holy shock/freeze ranger! :D i figure that way i don't have to worry about not putting points into holy shield, and none of the combat skills work with bows anyway. also, the synergies for both HS and HF are all in the defensive aura tree.

this brings up my next point though... can i change his unique item choices to Destroyer: Gloves, Conqueror: Weapon? thanks!

Well my family is moving further. My Pally and my Nec is in Lut Guhlein City waiting for the amazon to complete act1 she is in Inner Cloister at this moment.

Best found was my Pally who got a Bloodfist, but when he tried to put it on a laud voice from heaven told him that he can't use that. So he asked his father the necromancer who is very wise and he said:

Poison was able to add Stoutnail to the tourney stash. Andariel proved an interesting with most of my damage being poison. She b-slapped me down to 1/4 life a couple of times. But what's a HC tourney without risks :uhhuh:

I didn't do much, just took Rimmer to the Outer Cloister, and while doing so he killed Bloodraven, rescued Cain and killed The Countess. The latter dropped an eth, he did not find any set or uniques as of yet. I hope to do more tomorrow, (more correctly, later today) and hope to get Rimmer to the cube in particular, before continuing with the other two.

Well today I still haven't started Ormus yet, so I decided to finish Act II with Cain and Atma. Ormus is pretty heavily twinked now once he gets started next.

Cain took longer than Atma of course because going through the Maggot Lair and the Arcane Sanctuary i un-summoned all my guys excpet my merc and just used him and amp the whole way through those. Nothing was hard, no NDE, just blazed through Act II. Duriel was pretty easy for /players 8, having him cold and decrepified made him very slow. He now awaits in Act III Kurast Docks for Ormus.

Atma also finished the rest of Act II, everything was easy as always with the power of CL and SF. She killed Duriel very fast on /players 8 using static field of course then having merc to tank then CL. What is really weird with this sorc is I have found 4* -15 requirement jewels so far with her. She now awaits with Cain in Act III Kurast Docks for Ormus.
 
A few questions...
-I'm assuming, since this is HC and all, that there'll be no Save&Exit to avoid death. What about TP scrolls in the belt? Is that okay?
-You also mentioned the only way we're allowed to go back to prior difficulties is to use quest rewards. Does this mean that we can't reroll maps (for various boss runs, etc)?
-All quests must be completed before moving on to the next Act. Okay. Do all WPs have to be collected as well? This mostly applies to the Anya portal...

It doens't mean that, since you can reroll your map by logging onto open B.net as well as by changing difficulties.

...Right, but you can't Multiplay your character, and you can't change difficulties unless you're using a quest reward...

...so you COULD reroll maps, but only if you burn up your imbue, personalization or socket quest... :)

Ok, technicality here. I define Multiplay to be playing in a game with multiple people, but I guess you could define it as joining a multiplayer possible game.

Zedar made it through Act II... bearly, but he made it. Even with his +2 Bone Spear wand, he still had a rough go of it. I was too lazy to gamble a better for a white wand, so I'll just hope for the best. Duriel, as usual dropped nothing worth having, so it was a sad, lonely ride to Kurast...

Bah...just three more points. My workdays are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for twelve hours, so I'll only be able to blaze through acts during the rest of the week. I'm also still somewhat down from my sorceress's death. I miss her. :hanky: Always happens to builds I enjoy in HC...like my lvl 60ish Mageazon. In what spare time I DO have, I plan to re-make The_Weathergirl just for kicks (demonstration only), because I feel stupid for letting her die so early. I know I can do better. I'll play her totally untwinked and let you know how she does and whether she can avenge her precursor's death.

I'm gonna let my amazon rest for a while longer, since she'll have a tough time until she gets Lightning Fury, which'll be somewhere in Act V, since Acts III and IV don't give diddly exp when you play full clears on /players 1. My Bone Necro should be safe for quite a while, hopefully for the rest of the tournament.

Also, just for extra info, my Amazon is using a Blessed Aim merc until she can get a Might merc in NM, and my Bone Necro is using a Fire Rogue and will for the duration of his life span.

Looks like I'm still in second place, but I'm sure I'll get passed this weekend until I get time to play on Monday. Good luck everyone and Don't Die!

However, you are allowed to use multiplayer to mule (if you're a MAC use for example, and can't use ATMA), so you should be able to reroll maps, otherwise it would be unfair for those people who need to multi to mule...
